One afternoon Thranduil was getting ready to go on a hunting trip by himself. Ada where are you going? 7 year old Legolas said as he ran to his father. "Oh my little leaf Ada it's going into the woods to do some hunting. You stay here OK with Feren I will see you later tonight. I love you, baby. Said his father packing up his things to go. Legolas see you tonight, my dear, my dear little son but before Thranduil could even leave he felt the tug on his robe. "Ada you can't go hunting tonight is too dangerous. Legolas said trying to keep his father from getting out out of the door. Feren went to go check on Legolas and he noticed that the king was having trouble. "My king what seems to be the issue. " well as you can see the issue is that my son won't let go of my robe and won't let me go hunting out tonight can you please take him? As thranduil left the palace his son tried to squirm out of Feren's arms but his grip was tight and he said nope you're not going over over there tonight. You have to go to sleep. But I can't sleep tonight my father's in danger you gotta listen to me. Legolas said desperate to get to his father but Feren was really exhausted and he didn't have time for temper tantrums and he said no you got to sleep. Good night your father will be here in the morning and I swear there's nothing going on go to bed.
Later in the evening in the dark woods the king was trying to fight, but he was getting injured at the process, and then he fell off his horse and landed in a large river and he was drowning, and he was going under the water. But then he found a way to get to the surface and laid there with cuts all over him, and he is breathing heavily, and thought to himself. Maybe my little leaf was right But before he could get up a orc pushed him down but before he could hit him really hard in the chest and arrow came towards the monster and the king looked behind him and said " Legolas what are you doing here. Saving your life Ada what do you think I'm doing here and then the little elfling begins to shoot 10 arrows at the monster and he said " leave my dad alone leave the king alone but then an arrow one tour the king and hit him right in the back and he fell on the grass. "Ada!!!!! No!!!!!! Legolas said running to his father and he said Ada where does it hurt? Where does it hurt? Tell me. " my chest and my back hurts my little one. The king said as his son ripped his robe to see the cut and it was very deep and with a gash and his back was filled with blood and he said oh no Ada please don't leave me please don't worry. I'll get you some help. Stay here. I'll be back. Don't move. Legolas ran back home and he ran to the healers and he said help help help help help !!!!! The doctor elfs said what is the matter Legolas. My Ada is really injured and I don't know what to do. Please come with me. We have to save him. Few hours later the king was with the healers as his little son was waiting for him in the waiting room. And he was crying and he said " oh Ada why did this happen to you? Why didn't you listen to me? I love you. Then a few more minutes later the healer came out and he said Legolas you may go see your father now he's stable, but he's pretty injured, but he's asking for you. As the little prince entered the hospital room. He walked in and saw his father. " Ada how are you feeling? Are you OK? Thranduil noticed his son and he woke up and he said " my son thank you for saving me even though I didn't know that you were going to. I told you to stay in bed. I guess I was wrong you had the right to come here to save me if it wasn't for you I would've been dead. " oh Ada I will never leave your side. I will always protect you like you protect me because I love you. Did you eat? Are you hungry? I got you some food from the kitchen. No little leaf daddy is not hungry right now. But Ada please you have to eat something you look very weak. You have to eat because that's what you tell me every time I'm not feeling well or I get hurt please daddy eat come on. I'll help you. His son said as he helped his dad sit upright and then he said "look Ada Feren made your favorite soup come on. You have to eat open your mouth. Legolas said as he spoon fed his father. And then his son helped him lay down back in his bed and then he climbed on his chest slowly so he doesn't hurt him and he said I love you daddy. I hope you feel better soon. I was so worried when I saw you because I thought you were going to leave me. Legolas said crying because he was very upset about almost losing his father and his son cried and he said don't ever scare me like that again, daddy I thought I was going to lose you because you're wonderful and loving Ada and I don't want to lose you because I love you so much. " shh my little elf please don't worry about me I'm going to get better soon and I promise I will never leave you, but you have to be strong because who is my strong warrior. I'm your little warrior father and I will be strong for you. Legolas says as he left the hospital wing to do some arrow training with feren as he trained, he tried to keep a happy face on his face for his father because he knew deep down his dad will get better.
Blair that night while he was helping his father change his bandages because he was there at night he noticed a lot of blood was oozing from the bandage. "Ada you're bleeding oh no don't worry I'll take care of you but before he could do anything in the nurse said I got this don't worry no stay away from him. He's mine. I'm gonna take care of him. Legolas said standing behind his father don't touch him. I'm gonna take care of him. I saved him so it makes sense for me to take care of him so leave him alone. " little leaf please don't stress yourself out go off and play daddy will be fine. Let the nurse help me OK go off and play. " but Ada I have to keep you safe and I have to take care of you. I don't wanna go outside and play. My son, can you come here, please? " yes daddy what is it and his father said my little boy I know you want to help me but you can't do everything for me and I'm feeling better but I'm gonna stay here one more day and then I'm gonna go home but the nurse is gonna help me OK but I'm glad that you were there to save me, but I need to be a kid so go and play. Alright dad whatever you say I'll go play. When Legolas left the nurse said he's very attached to him and he loves you so much. Oh yes, he does. He's my little boy and I love him so much too. You gotta be very proud. He saved you. Yes, I am very proud of him.
A few days later thranduil was able to come home and when Feren noticed, he said i" know someone could be happy to see you. Oh Legolas come doctors please I was surprised for you. Why I'm not in the mood for surprises. I just want my father back, but before he could go back upstairs, the little prince. Noticed his father and he ran to him. " Ada !!!!!! You're back he said running into his father and almost tripping over his shoelaces and his father caught him and said easy, my little boy you almost fell down. But then his son jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly. And cried. " oh father please don't leave me again. Please don't go hunting by yourself when it's really dark outside, please. Ok Legolas I promise I won't leave you again and I promise I will listen to you next time if you have a bad feeling OK I'm sorry son. Can you forgive me yes of course daddy of course I forgive you because I love you.
And the next day, both father and son spent the whole day together outside in their backyard to keep each other safe, and they laid in the grass and the king grabbed his son and began to tickle him.
Later at bedtime his father read him three bedtime stories about his favorite archers and then he laid him down and said sleep tight my little warrior. I love you so much. I love you too, daddy. I love you. I love you. Too ada and the next morning his father said wake up my son something came for you in the mail. As Legolas opened up the package he said wow this is the arrow. I always wanted thank you father thank you thank you thank you thank you. You're welcome my son you earned it not because you were a good boy because you protected your father and you stayed with him when he was in pain thank you my son for being the best son ever I love being your father and I love being your son Dad, I love you so much my little Legolas.
