•~* Michael's POV *~
"Michael." God approached me.
"Yes, Lord?" I replied, turning to face him.
"Now that you've had a look around, I have a job for you, son. How would you like to be a Guardian Angel?" He offered.
I shrugged a little. "Sounds okay." I replied.
"I already have someone assigned for you. Her name is Mallory Jenson. She isn't born yet, but she will be soon." God said.
"So, what do I have to do?" I asked.
"Well, it's quite simple. Watch over her. Make sure she doesn't get hurt. Oh, and there's a set of rules. Ten, to be exact. And you must follow them." he replied.
"What are these rules?" I asked.
"I'll go ahead and go through them with you.
1. Do not try to communicate with your human unless instructed by me.
2. If instructed to communicate, be kind and no profanities.
3. Be loving and caring
4. Do not make your human feel uncomfortable
5. Do not try to hit on your human or flirt with them.
6. While it is okay to be playful and have a laugh, make sure you know what is appropriate.
7. Do not reveal any information about any other angels, under ANY circumstances.
8. Be careful what you tell your human.
9. Do not reveal yourself to any other humans.
10. DO NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR HUMAN.
"So, do you think you're ready?" He asked.
I nodded. "What happens if I break the rules?" I asked.
"Minor punishments such as not being able to use your designated power for a day or two comes for minor offenses, but major offenses come with punishments such as getting your wings taken off, which is extremely painful, and the biggest punishment is becoming mortal and losing your wings." he replied.
"Designated power...?" I question.
"Oh, yes! Every angel comes with some sort of power. For example, I have given your friend Calum the ability to tell when somebody is lying. Ashton can see the future, and Luke can stop time." He explained. "And.... I think you are going to be a mind reader."
"So I get to read her mind?" I asked.
He nodded.
"Sounds cool." I grinned.
"Good, because Mallory is about to be born." God said, taking my hand.
I closed my eyes, and felt a rush of cool air, and a dizzying spin.
When I opened my eyes again, I was in a small hospital room. God was still in Heaven -well, I shouldn't say that. He's everywhere!- so I was "alone" in a way.
