Spending quality time with Damian to get to know each other more before stepping into a relationship. We went on many dates this past week. I also took my leave from work for our trip to New York City which is in few days.
Packing my last set of Fashion Nova and Pretty Little Things outfits that I wanted to carry I ensure that I wasn't missing anything while speaking to my mother on the phone.
"Mi daughter suh a when yah come back", she asked with a smirk on her face.
"Saturday and why yuh have a smirk pon yuh face", I looked at her with my eyebrows knitted.
"Cause mi wah meet mi new son in law when unuh come back!", she laughed and I coughed realizing what she said.
I told her I was getting to know him better but after all these dates she thinks we are officially together even when I told her no.
"Mommy stop it we not official as yet he hasn't popped the question", I said blushing.
"A weh him a wait pon God fi come back fi him world?", she said sarcastically and I laughed.
"A bare things yuh gwaan wid enuh lady", I shake my head while folding the clothes.
"Yuh hear from Amir him text me asking for you but mi nuh really give him too much info though", she looks on me for confirmation with her hand on her jaw and I rolled my eyes to the sound of his name.
"No me block and delete him pon everything and tek mi key I gave to him!", I rolled my eyes zipping up my suitcase.
"Finally yuh can give baby face the key", she said provoking me and I laughed at the nickname she gave him.
"Baby steps lady, baby steps!", I pointed at my screen and she burst out laughing.
"Which baby steps yah turn big woman Inna two days suh a grand baby mi a look yah now!", she covered her mouth with her hands while laughing.
"Yuh gone too far now yuh wouldn't even seh guh travel the world and enjoy mi young days yah tell mi bout baby", I tilt my head looking at her rolling my eyes.
"Nuh bother feel yuh too big mi will box yuh eye them out a yuh head!", she jokes.
"Alright mommy later me aguh continue pack up my stuffs love you", I blowed her a kiss.
