sofia and claire left the party about three hours after it started. now they're in the car listening to music in complete silence. claire is on her phone talking to tyler and sofia is humming along to whatever song is playing. claire is very drunk so every now and then sofia hears her giggle for a split second and it kinda scares her. it'll be dead silent for like ten minutes and then she'll just hear "hehehehe" out of no where. nonetheless, she keeps driving without a problem.

"claire" claire lazily looks to sofia, her eyes kind of drowsy. "girl i know for a fact that you aren't gonna fall asleep in the car." "i'm not. i'm just tired because of this music. like i need hype" sofia knows just the thing to bring up the spirits in the car.

a minute or two passes before the song they were previously listening to finishes. sofia watches as claires eyes instantly widen at the intro. "THERES NOTHING RICH FOLKS LOVE MORE THAN GOING DOWN TOWN AND SLUMMIN IT WITH THE POOR" claire begins to scream the lyrics of schuyler sisters from hamilton. sofia instantly breaks into laughter and joins her in singing. "i LOVE hamilton. it was my whole personality in 2020." claire admits. nodding aggressively sofia says, "mhm yep yeah. checks out. when i was working on stranger things three, me and gaten were singing guns and ships while we were on set. it was so fun." "oh my god put that one on next" sofia hands her the phone and schuyler sisters comes to an end and guns and ships starts playing.

sofia is trying to say the lyrics but is completely failing because of the laughter that is overtaking her. claire is in the seat next to her, also trying to sing the lyrics but she is slurring her words together and sounds absolutely ridiculous. 

after the song ends, sofia is still laughing and claire is proud of herself for getting at least washington's part out clearly. "i think i did pretty good." she says, patting her shoulder proudly. "okay what now?" the two crackheads think for a minute before choosing sexy from the mean girls musical. "okay but from the musical or from the movie?" claire loves the musical version but something about avantika makes her brain happy. "movie." claire ultimately decides. sofia nods and puts on the movie version.

"okay hear me out." sofia says. "no. i can't tell you how DISAPPOINTED i was when i saw aaron samuels for the first time in that movie. like i thought that aaron was supposed to be hot. like what is he bro?" sofia rolls her eyes. "what do you mean??? aaron samules was literally so fucking hot in that movie bro. like if i was cady i would've folded." claire shakes her head. "no no no. aaron from the 2004 version, yes i totally folded, but 2024 version? oh fuck no. like nuh uh." sofia squints her eyes at claire not even understanding what she's talking about since her celebrity crush is literally the grinch. "you can't be talking but ok claire. whatever makes you go to sleep at night."
