Creek...
Unknown and Slimey's heads whip to the source of the sound...it came from the entrance...
"The door was open... this isn't good" It was the voice of one of the council members. That was enough to make Slimey panic and Unknown's eyes turned black.
"We have to hide!" Slimey whisper yells. Unknown nods. Slimey turned into a puddle of slime and climbed the walls until reaching the ceilings. Unknown, however, she would have a much harder time.
Unknown ran around, avoiding the loose floorboards as best as she could, holding the book in her arms.
"The webs are gone...someone was here... fan out and snuff them out" Another council member spoke...Unknown kept running around, trying to find a place to hide.
Slimey watched from above
"I see a light!" Another spoke
"Follow it!"
Darn, my tail flame.. Unknown thought to herself. She grabs a cloth and uses her magic to hide her tail flame's light, it wasn't much but it would help her keep it dimmed down
"Damn it! We lost it" One of them spoke. "Keep looking! The intruder won't leave alive" Another said.
Unknown determined that the one giving the orders was the same one who told her that she needed to leave the council room. But now wasn't the time to think about that. She found a table with a cloth and hid under it, covering her tail flame so it wouldn't attract unwanted attention.
"Ugh..where did they go..." Unknown saw a red slime trail go around the table. A Cyan slime trail followed "No idea..." Unknown covered her mouth as she saw them surround her. A purple, yellow and Pink slime trail followed. "Hm..seems like they're gone...We are to hurry out and find them...We can't let anyone know what happened to the stone and the Elder"
The slimes left the library. Unknown sighs in relief until seeing green slime drip down. The cloth comes off and- "Hey, they're gone, you can come out now..." Slimey spoke
Unknown sighed in relief and came out of hiding.
"Your eyes are green again, what are you suspicious of now?" Slimey points at them. Unknown shook her head in a no "Not this time...now I've just relieved it's you". Slimey smiled "come on, let's get out of here before they come back"
The two girls leave the library through the back exit and return home.
"Hm... Slimey... would you happen to know where the Elder Slime usually is?" Unknown asked as she sat in bed.
Slimey thinks for a moment "Hm...I think I have a couple of ideas"
"Then that's where we go next" Unknown closed the book as her eyes turned red in determination.
