We were due to head out and meet our contacts shortly as we knew we didn't have much time. I had just showered and was towel-drying my hair as I wandered out of the bathroom towards the bedroom when I accidentally overheard my name being said.

"So... (y/n) seems nice," James' voice came from inside the bedroom.

"I had a feeling you'd like her. Always into English girls aren't you?" Steve chuckled and my heart rate quickened.

"You're one to talk. Peggy was English wasn't she?" James counteracted. "Is she... single?"

My eyes widened at this question - we'd only known each other for a day. "As far as I'm aware. Is now really the time to think of romance though Buck?" Steve asked.

"Yeah you're right. Plus I know that I need to find a way to... get rid of... him, she'd only be in danger," James said somewhat sadly.

"That's not what I meant Buck. I meant as soon as the dust settles with everything and the Sokovia Accords, then you can start thinking about all of that," Steve explained.

"The Winter Soldier would still be in me. I can't put her in that kind of danger. Plus that's even if she's interested, I'm 99 and haven't had sex in over 70 years-," James said, this unexpected sentence making me step back and accidentally kick a broom that was leant against the wall. The boys went quiet and I immediately ran away, running directly into Sam who was walking through the front door.

"Whoa, Goldie- you okay? You look flustered," Sam raised an eyebrow and I whirled around to see Steve and James walk into the room.

"Fine- yes I'm fine! What did... what did your contact say?" I turned back to Sam desperate to change the conversation - I had a feeling the two Super Soldiers knew I had overheard their conversation.

"Er- well Sharon wants to meet, she's managed to get what we need," Sam said, looking between the three of us apparently confused.

"Great, then let's go," Steve said, the four of us leaving the apartment. I was ready to get my suit and exo-skeleton back, as I knew we'd need them if we were to go into this fight. We all piled into Steve's yellow beetle, Steve and Sam up front whilst James and I were in the back. There wasn't much space but I was quite small whereas James... wasn't. Steve drove us to Sharon's meeting point which was under a bridge, out of sight. He got out of the car to meet her, the three of us watching the exchange from the car.

"Could you move your seat up?" James huffed at Sam.

"No," Sam said sternly. I had to bite my lip to stop myself from laughing, but James moved over to me slightly to give his legs more room. We exchanged awkward smiles but my eyes were drawn elsewhere when I saw Steve and Sharon sharing a passionate kiss. The three of us looked at him, smirking as he glanced at us awkwardly before turning back to Sharon and helping her take all the stuff from the boot of her car towards our.

When he finally got back in the car he seemed ready for a whole lot of teasing which Sam happily took car of as we drove to destination number two. "I'm just sayin' when all this is over and we're fugitives you two could ride off into the sunset together," Sam teased and Steve huffed.

"It's about time you settled down," James patted his shoulder.

"Isn't she Peggy's niece?" I asked openly and the three boys looked at me after having gone quiet. "What?" I curled in on myself.

"Steve, just here," Sam directed him into the multi-story car park of an airport where we drove up a few levels and parked near a van. Clint and Wanda emerged, and I felt a sense of relief when I saw my close friends. The four of us climbed out of the car and I went to hug Wanda who happily reciprocated.
