Derek ignored me through out the weekend. He locked himself in his room all through not joining us in anything except for dinner and he left immediately he was done. I was left on my own in my room doing nothing but reading novels and sleeping. Let's just say it was a pretty depressing weekend.

I was a so happy when Monday finally came. I couldn't wait to go to my new school, maybe I would make some new friends here.

After taking a quick shower, I picked my outfit. A simple pair of jeans and a top. Just like me. Simple.

Rushing out of my room, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs. On getting to the kitchen, I saw my mom and David in the kitchen talking and laughing.

My mom was making pancakes and trust me, she makes the meanest pancakes ever. And I'm not saying that cause she's my mom.

"Hi honey, did u sleep well? "she smiled and said when she saw me

" Hey Alex " David said

" Hi mom, hi David "I replied

" Would you like some pancakes? "she asked

" yes, please "I answered

She passed me a plate and I started eating.

Then I heard it. The voice that has been haunting me day and night, the voice that made me want to melt in my chair.

" Good morning everyone " Derek's deep voice sounded

" Morning Derek" my mom smiled at him "would u like some pancakes?"

"Yes, please" he answered politely.

'what's with Derek today' I wondered

Turning around to look at him, my breath caught in my throat.

He was so handsome, I almost forgot to breathe.

His dark brown almost black hair looked like he ran his hand through it a lot and it made him look hot .He was wearing a light blue t-shirt which made his pale blue eyes stand out. His shirt was thin enough for me to see the movement of his muscles beneath the shirt when he turned to grab a chair and sit beside me . I looked at his face and our eyes met but I tore my eyes away before I drown in his blue depths. Grabbing a plate, he started eating his pancakes.

"Derek, would you mind driving Alex to school? " David asks

" sure " he says

Now am confused. I thought he didn't want us here. Why is he being nice all of a sudden.

" Alex finish your food,you're gonna be late " my mom says

I quickly ate my breakfast and grabbed my bag.

I followed Derek outside to his car, an Audi R8 which didn't surprise me cause his dad was a very successful surgeon and from what I've heard, his mother's family is loaded.

Though am not sure who he got it from. This is the first time I will be getting a ride in his car and was impressed by its interior. The leather was soft and smelled really nice, I couldn't keep myself from running my hands over them.

" Like what you see", Derek smirked at me from the other side

I was too busy admiring the car that I didn't notice when Derek got into the car.

I jumped placing my hand on my chest. I noticed his gaze moved to my chest and I suddenly felt self-conscious in my v-neck top that showed my cleavage and stay there.

Blushing, I turned away muttering a sorry under my breath.

"Buckle up. It's a long way to school ", he said as he pulled out of the house and headed to school.
