HEINREY'S OFFICE 

PREVIOUSLY...

"I'd appreciate it if you would let me handle the wedding preparations" Krista announced

"You want me to put you in charge of the wedding?" Heinrey asked 

"It's unusual for a reigning monarch to lead the preparations for his own wedding. I'm your sister-in-law and the former Queen, so I'm well-placed to lead the preparation on behalf of you both. It would also look more appropriate" Krista stated 

"Well..." Heinrey began 

"Our marriage was unconventional to begin with, so it would be better if the preparations were handled differently too. Please stick to your original decision Heinrey" Navier spoke 

Krista paused before she spoke again "Very well...I thought it was right for me to offer my help as your sister-in-law and former Queen...but it seems I misread the situation" 

Krista turned around and walked out. y/n excused herself and followed behind closing the door as she left 

y/n walked through the halls of the palace and to the greenhouse 

Once she got close to the greenhouse she spotted Caesar leaning on the door wearing his usual black uniform 

He lifted his head when she approached 

"Caesar? What brings you here? I thought you were in the Easter Empire..." 

"I was but I'm picking up new things with Rashta and..." 

"And?" 

He leaned closer to her after looking around quickly "Duke Egri" he whispered 

"Duke Egri and Rashta?" she whispered at the same tone "What about them?" 

"They've been getting close-ish lately. I've told you before that he visits her a lot before Navier came over to the Western Empire and his visits haven't stopped even though she's going to get married to the Emperor" 

"So what do you suspect?" y/n narrowed her eyes slightly 

"Maybe lovers" 

"Lovers?" y/n raised her eyebrows "Anything else?" 

"Viscount Lotteshu is still wringing her pockets for God knows what. I'll find out for you" 

"Okay...okay thank you Caesar" she placed a small bag of god into his hand 

"You don't have to keep paying me y'know?" he held the small bag in his hand still not placing it in his pocket like he usually does 

"What do you mean?" she tilted her head 

"y/n, I took you on a date...I don't think we're employer and employee anymore...and you can't tell me that we aren't anything less 'cause we're something more and you know it" 

"So...is this you telling me that you don't want your payment?" 

"Don't need it" 

"You don't need your payment anymore? Great hand it over" she reached her hand out 

"Uh-uh..this is my severance pay!" he shoved it in his pocket "But...think about what I said to you...more than friends, yeah?" he slipped a note into her hand and left right after he said that  

y/n stood there for a minute and then walked back to Heinrey's office door where Rose was waiting 

"Where were you? And what's that?" she asked when she saw the note in y/n's hand
