Mommy's gone

When Mommy says goodbye,
The world seems vast and wide,
A tender heart may sigh,
As tears are hard to hide.

She leaves a scent behind,
A whisper in the air,
Her love, forever kind,
A solace in despair.

The house feels strangely still,
Her laughter echoes faint,
But love's a force that will,
Make a saint of a saint.

For though she steps away,
Her warmth will never part,
In every night and day,
She's the beat of the heart.

So let the tears fall free,
For Mommy's love won't cease,
In every memory,
She's left a piece of peace.
