Once we danced in love's embrace, our hearts in tandem beat,
A symphony of whispered dreams, a melody so sweet.
We traced the stars with hopeful eyes, charted courses bold and new,
In the universe of 'you and I', there was nothing we couldn't do.

But seasons change, and so did we, our summer turned to fall,
The leaves of love turned amber gold, and gently, they did fall.
The winds of change blew cold and harsh, our paths began to diverge,
And what was once a vibrant flame, became a fading urge.

Now memories linger, bittersweet, like photographs in dust,
The laughter and the tears we shared, the passion and the trust.
An echo of your voice remains, a shadow in the mind,
A reminder of the love we lost, and left so far behind.

Yet, from the ashes of our past, new growth begins to rise,
For every ending paves the way for new and brighter skies.
We carry on, with lessons learned, with strength from what is gone,
And in the heart's museum, our love remains a cherished dawn.

So here's a verse for yesterday, for all that was and will be,
A chapter closed, a story told, a part of you and me.
We may have parted, waves to shore, but in the tide's refrain,
I wish you peace, I wish you love, until we meet again.
