chapter-5

Leorio's POV:

Me and kurapika watched both gon and the kid named killua from a distance. well...as expected from gon! 

I looked at kurapika, he has an genuie smile on his face. It made my heart skip a beat. what is this feeling?...I don't quite understand...

"Soo...what's this? all of a sudden?" I asked the sunshine that is beside me, looking at the kids with a expression that I couldn't describe. He realized I've asked him a question. He turned his head towards me. "s-sorry...I was spacing out..what did you say?" .I sighed "I asking you to explain sunshine"

He blushed at the nickname I gave him. he then started to stare at the kids again. "killua...is a kid I saw at the orphanage. Everyone there ignored him, saying he's a drop-out from a family of assassins. they were scared that he might lash out on him. I'll often visit him, checking his heath and stuff.  then Suddenely ..."

He paused for a minute "suddenely one day, a girl I knew in that orphan came running to me, saying that she was finally getting adopted. I was happy for her. then out of nowhere, she asked a request...a request to save killua"

A request to save killua? I still didn't understand so I listened to him further.

"She said... that a gang always shows up at night, drunk. they always kidnap killua and took him with them. Next morning, he would come on his own to the orphan. She was worried about killua but didn't have the courage to ask him. She said this happened everyday but the employees there didn't give a shit about it." he hands fisted into a ball.

"One day, she followed the kidnappers to find out what's truly happening. when she reached them, without being noticed, she saw killua being...."

He stopped. I gupled. "She saw killua being...abused and...raped..." I was shocked and looked down. And after all that, that kid was able to survive!? I was shocked and angred at the same time. 

I heard soft sniffs. I looked at kurapika to seem him crying. I got near him and hugged him. I didn't know what to do so I just patted his back.After a while, he stopped crying and pushed himself away from me. Aww..I loved his touches...WAIT! WHAT AM I SAYING!? OH MY GAWD!

"S-she got scared and ran away from there. The next day, she tried to ask killua what happend  but he just ignored her" he said, wiping his tears. "though, how does she knows abusing...and raping?" I asked.

"Her name is karina. her parents doesn't get along well, since it was an arranged marriage. After she was born, her mother disappointed, that the baby was a female instead of a male. Her father didn't give a fuck about it!" he shouted a bit. "she spent most of the days alone, somehow getting mature day by day. On her 5th birthday, she came to the orphan on her own. after a few days, she realized her parents didn't come after her. And with that, she stayed in the orphan with the other kids" he finished.

I still couldn't believe it. And I thought ging is the worst parent i ever seen!...

"So you promised her to adopt him?"

He's eyes widend. "how do you know!?"

"Well, you look like the person who would've replied that to that kind of situation. Guess I was able to know you in a short amount of time" Not gonna lie, he's like a open book. how do people didn't notice it in him till now? Guess the so called people hate him too..

He blushed from the embrassment. "take that back leorio!" but I just grinned at him.

Now he got a bit angry "I said take it back.."

"It's Mister leorio" I said, getting close to his face, smirking. He stepped backwards. "you idiot..." he mumbled. 

I got away from his face, looking at the kids. " guess they'll be best friends from now on" kurapika said, looking at the boys happily. "maybe even more" I said which made him glare at me. 

"Well...who knows what'll happen in future?"
