It was the first day after spring break and marinette has noticed something she's never noticed before.
Adrien wasn't in school.
Adrien and her have been friends since beginning of the semester and are dating since 5 months and never ever has marinette seen adrien have a day off. Of course, they were times where he had to leave earlier than usual because of his modeling schedule but it still felt odd to her not having him around.
The last bell of the day ringed and marinette packed her stuff into her bag. Her friends were talking and waiting for her but she was lost in her own thoughts.
"Earth to marinette!" alya snapped.
Marinette blinked "What? what happened?" she tensed.
Their teacher just smiled "Marinette could you please be so kind and bring adrien his homework for today. It's important he's doing his schoolwork on time."
She took the papers that were handed to her.
She nodded. "Sure, I'd love to!"
Alya snorted "Sure you do"
Marinette hit her playfully and left the classroom.
After 10 minutes she arrived in front of adriens big mansion. She pressed a button and as usual the little robot camera zapped outside of the wall.
She will never get used to that.
"Uh..hey! I have adriens homework here, from today" she said nervously.
"He's in his room. Step inside." a familiar voice answered and the doors opened automatically.
"Thanks" she managed to say and walked inside.
As she entered she looked around for a second.
It was silent. It felt cold inside, but not the cold that you feel in winter, the cold you can feel from a person.
She shook her head and walked up the stairs knocking at the door. "Hello? adrien? It's me marinette can I come in?"
There was no answer so marinette decided to just open to door silently to see if he's asleep.
She stepped into the room and saw that he really was asleep.
She tried to be as silent as possible and placed the worksheets on a table.
She hesitated as she sat down a chair next to his bed and put a light kiss on his cheek when she squinted her eyes as she saw his eyes fluttering.
When she was about to leave she heard a quiet chuckle, making her eyes widen.
She came closer, squinting her eyes at him suspiciously.
Just then he bursted out into a laughter and sat up straight, still slightly laying down.
"Can I get another one?" he tapped on his cheek.
Marinette blushed and shook her head embarrassed.
Adrien chuckled. "Come on, I just made a joke."
Marinette rolled her eyes sitting down on the chair again. "Yeah, very funny" she mumbled.
He shrugged and let out a sigh. "Thanks for bringing me my homework."
She smiled a little "No problem"
He smiled back.
"You seem very pale, have you eaten?" marinette asked concerned.
Adrien shook his head. "Not much, I don't feel like it."
"Well you have to eat something. Or drink. You look like a vampire." She teased.
"A vampire you would kiss though." he grinned.
Marinettes face turned a redder shade.
"If I get one more kiss I'll shut up." he offered.
Marinette sighed and gave him another light kiss as adrien pulled her next to him.
"Adrien!" she laughed. "I can't stay long."
He shrugged "Too bad. I guess after being this close to me, you'll get sick."
Marinette let out a giggle.
Then she noticed his eyes lingering on her. "What?"
"Just looking at my pretty girlfriend." he breathed.
Marinette grinned "You're flattering compliments don't make your jokes any better."
"Worth a shot" he snickered.
