Marinette was really excited. She was tapping her fingers on the desk to kill the time.

It was finally happening. Adrien. The Adrien. He was taking her out! She couldn't believe it. There was no doubt, alya was right from the start.

"he really does like me.." marinette whispers, deep in her thoughts.
"Did you say something darling?" marinettes mom asked.
Marinette snapped out of it "Uh, no, it's nothing mom!"

Her mom sighed "You must be excited for your date!"
Marinettes face flushed "Mom!"
Sabine laughed at her daughter, when the bell rang.
"I get it!" the girl rushed to the door, fixed her clothes and hair for one last time and opened the door.

"H-Hey adrien!" she greeted the boy with a smile.
Adrien blinked a few times "Uh..Yes! uhm hey marinette." He rubbed his neck "You look really pretty.." he muttered.

Marinette couldn't help her cheeks getting red.
As she was about to leave, her dad stopped her.

"Adrien." her father smiled, but then it dropped "No drinks, No drugs, No hands"

"Dad! that's not-.." marinette scolded her dad as adrien interrupted her.
"I understand. I'll make sure that nothing bad will happen to her. I promise"

The girls father nodded in agreement and let her daughter go.
-
As the two where in adriens car, marinette started apologising
"My dad is..well...usually not like that..ya know, controlling." she said nervously.

Adrien smiled "Marinette how often do you want to hear it? it's fine really, there is no problem. He's your father after all. If he would trust every jerk out there, Somthing bad could happen to you one day." He explained.

"You're not a jerk!" marinette protested.
"im glad you think like that. But still don't blame your dad. It looks like he really cares about you" adrien reassured her.

Marinette sighed "Okay..Sorry for being stubborn, i shouldn't have mentioned it so much"
Adrien laughed "Are you for real? Alright you know what, no more apologies for you left to say."

Marinette chuckled "Fine. Adrien?"
Adrien glanced at her "Yeah?"
"I uh..have a question..You have to answer, but be honest okay? even if that would be harsh or anything!" the girl explained.

Adrien raised a bow "uh, go ahead then."
"Why did you take me out? did you do it because we're good friends..or..?" the girl waited for an answer eagerly.

Adrien pulled to the side and stopped the car.
"I actually wanted to talk about that at the café, but if you're already asking.." he stopped and pulled a streak of her hair behind her ear.

"I did it because you mean so much to me. Even more than a friend. You mean the world to me marinette. I am the person i am today because of you. You helped me through so much and it kills me that i didn't have the guts to tell you this sooner but.."
He came nearer towards her face.
"I love you marinette. More than you'll probably ever know"
He leaned in but stopped for a moment "You know, I can't kiss you without you wanting to, i promised your dad." He grinned.

Marinette was smiling from ear to ear "It would be a shame if you wouldn't"
She pulled him towards her, closing the gap between them.

As they pulled away marinette laughed.
"So, was it worth it?" she asked
"Was what worth it?" he looked at her confused
"Trying to impress me all week" she smirked.
"why yes." the boy grinned "it was the best decision i've ever made.
