Hi guys this is my new story I hope you enjoy it. Italics will be thoughts please remeber that. The timeline roughly starts around season 3. I have roughly based this off of untouchable by thespampinatos please go check it out. Xx

Mayas pov

"19!" I called out.
The team met me in the barn and I started my daily announcement.

"Today we were getting a new doctor for the PRT, I haven't met her yet but she is friends with Warren and is the sister or Andrew DeLuca. During her interview with Warren and lieutenant Herrera she told them about her history of being an OB and a surgeon, she is apparently one of the best, make her feel welcome." I informed.

"Yes cap," they all called in response.

I smiled to myself before heading to my office to finish our last incident report.

Soon enough I heard a gentle knock on my office door and looked up to see the most beautiful pair of chestnut eyes looking into my ocean blue ones.

"Carina DeLuca," she introduced, her accent thick.

"Maya Bishop." I replied watching cautiously as she stretched out her hand.

'Shit what should I do'

Slowly I put my hand out and she gently shook it. My body tingled as I felt like electricity was shooting throughout me.

'She didn't hurt me.'

I showed her around the station and then asked Warren to give her a tour of the PRT seen as he knew it better than me.

She smiled soflty as I headed to the beanery to talk to Andy.

"Andy guess what?" I asked a hint of excitement detectable in my voice.

"What?" She asked slightly confused.

"I shook someone's hand" I exclaimed "And I didn't freak out!"

"Oh my God I'm so happy for you mai, (pronounced my) who was it?" She asked with a proud look.

"The new PRT doctor, Carina." I replied.

Andy smiled towards me before grabbing an apple and a glass of water.

Ladder 1

PRT

"It's a 3 alarm fire, but they are expecting it to reach 4, possibly 5." I alerted the team as we all climbed into a vehicle.

During the scene

"DeLuca what is your status?" I asked through my radio.

Carina's pov

"DeLuca what is your status?" Captain Bishop asked through coms.

"We have a pregnant patient about to have a c-section and one patient who is currently having fluid removed from his lungs." I replied whilst checking my patient was numb.

"Copy." She replied.

I started the c-section and managed to successfully deliver the baby and save the mother after her heart stopped for a whole minute.

The call was finished up and after delivering the patients to Grey Sloan we headed back to the station.

"Good first call," Warren complemented.

"Thanks ben." I replied before helping restock.

Third person POV

Carina helped stock the PRT before being called into the captain's office.

"Good job today." The captain stated once Carina was inside.

"Thank you," she responded a slight smile playing on her lips.

Maya's heart melted at not only the site of the Italians smile but her accent that, the blonde absolutely loved although only hearing it a few times.

"I look forward to having you at 19," Maya said.

"I look forward to being hear more Captain." The doctor replied smiling again.

The blondes stomach fluttered at the site.

"Please its Maya when it's only you and me." She insisted warmly.

"Okay, Maya." The brunette corrected.

They shared a smile before the Italian got up and left saying a soft goodbye as she departed.

Okay that was the first chapter. I don't want it to be too much of a slow burn but I also don't want to rush the story. I am not a doctor or 100% Italian so when I use terms from either please correct me if I'm wrong. All translations will be given after the chapter. I struggle with metnal health myself and although I'm no professional Maya does show signs of BPD and I will hint towards her having it during this story.
