Naruto cackled as he ran from the shinobi chasing him. Was he late to class? Yes. Did he regret it? No.
He might act like an oblivious idiot, but that's all it was: an act.
From a young age he had known that the more idiotic you acted, especially around adults, the more you learned. So he found things out all by hearing things he wasn't supposed to hear. Because who would think that the stupid blonde boy might have a brain under all that hair?
Not I, said the fly.
And with that intelligence comes the power of observation. Fancy stuff, he knows.
And with that observation, he noticed a pattern.
Team 3, his older sister's team, was severely overworked. And of the 4 of them, Asami suffered the most.
Somehow, whoever was in charge of assignments hadn't noticed all the work the spy team was doing.
It made him angry.
What did he do with that anger, you might be asking?
Well, get revenge of course.
Which is what led him here, being chased by a random ninja all because he painted the mountain of Hokage's faces. Hah.
