Aika remained in her room for the rest of the morning. Her head tangled in the thought Iroh had given her.
It wasn't true.
Aika rose from her bed looking in the mirror as she gripped her vanity table tight.
There would be signs surely.
But then her hair. It was white. And her eyes. They were blue. No one in the fire nation had these.
A loud knock on the door startled the girl as the door opened to reveal the young boy.
"Aika."
Zuko was dressed in a fire nation armour carrying his helmet under his arm as he stood in the doorway.
"Zuko. What's going on? Why are you dressed in armour?" The girl asked confused as she approached the boy who entered her room.
"I found him. The avatar." Zuko smiled happily as he took the girl's hand in his.
"What?" Aika asked shocked.
"This is it. We're going home." Zuko smiled as he brushed some hair from the girl's face gently.
Aika smiled. This was the Zuko she knew and loved. The gentle boy his father tried to destroy.
"I need you by my side." Zuko added as he looked into the girl's blue eyes.
He wanted her by his side. He wanted her to be there. He wanted to return home with her. She meant the world to him. His heart beat for her.
"Get dressed. We will be there shortly." Zuko informed as he stepped back before disappearing.
But he had to keep his mind straight. Ignore his heart for now.
They were going home.

The ship shook as it broke through the thick ice. Zuko had to grab hold of Aika to steady her.
Her long white hair pulled half up in the traditional fire nation hair style for girls. Letting the other half flow down her back. She wore the traditional fire nation training clothes with girls. Aika had always hated armour and complained it was heavy.
The ship halted to a stop as Zuko released his grip on the girl's arm.
"This is it." Zuko sighed as the ship's front door began to open letting the winter sun flood in the dark ship.
Aika squinted her eyes as they adjusted to the brightness outside. Zuko was the first to exit the ship followed by Aika then his men.
Aika couldn't help but feel sorry for the innocent people that stood on the ice. A mix of elderly and young southern water tribe people. All looking petrified of them. They were defense-less. One young boy about their age stood at the front of the tribe.
Aika begged he wouldn't try to attack Zuko as she knew the boy would stand no chance.
But of course, he did.
"Ahhh!" The boy screamed as he ran at Zuko with some form of weapon.
Zuko didn't even flinch as he kicked the boy to the side into the pile of snow. Aika almost cringed at the boy's quick and easy defeat as she followed the prince onto the snow.
Zuko scanned the tribe carefully. Glancing between every single one.
"Where are you hiding him?" Zuko asked sternly as he looked at the eldest woman.
