It was time.
This was the moment Sakura had dreamed of for so long. Ever since she's met Sasuke, her life had changed drastically. What started as a small crush soon turned into love, genuine love.
And after dozens and dozens of obstacles and years, the Uchiha finally let go of the darkness which was haunting him and reincorporated Sakura's feelings.
But their journey was far from over.

Once the couple made sure they had packed everything - well, it was mainly Sakura - they left her small house. The Haruno looked at it for a few moments, a small smile growing on her face. She knew she would miss her home deeply, but nothing was unbearable when she had Sasuke by her side.
Sasuke was feeling weirdly thrilled aswell, even though his face didn't look like it. He knew this would be entirely different than his prior journey. While he used to just randomly stroll around and do whatever came to mind, he would now listen to Sakura's needs and wishes and prioritise them over anything, really.
The two of them walked through the quiet morning streets, watching the sun rise above the horizon. A comfortable silence hung in the air, engulfing Sasuke and Sakura in a warm and peaceful atmosphere.
The Hidden Leaf was returning to its usual state again. No snow was left, and the puddles from the days before were almost gone aswell. It felt like the world was finally starting to live again after a freezing winter.
When one looked into the houses through their windows, happy families and couples were seen. Sasuke inspected them closely, watching them laugh and interact with eachother. He wanted to be that for Sakura too, even though he wasn't the most affectionate guy.
Sakura felt so excited to be with him now, she didn't even notice his gaze on her. Her heart was beating rapidly when she thought of the adventures that awaited them, and she couldn't wait to experience them all with Sasuke.
Slowly but surely, the couple arrived at the Main Gate. The Haruno took a deep breath, looking up at the huge structure. She had walked through the gate many times, whether it was for missions or outings to other villages.
But this felt different. And it was. Once stepping out of the village, there would be no turning back. It wasn't that Sakura didn't want to go with him, but she still felt a sudden wave of doubt wash over her.
Sasuke noticed her change of mood immediately, sighing softly. He wouldn't force her to do anything she didn't want to do, but the thought of leaving her behind again bothered him.
"You don't have to go." he spoke lowly, a hint of annoyance lacing his voice. Sakura's head shot up at the sound of his voice and her emerald eyes widened. She shook her head rapidly, waving her hands.
"N-no, Sasuke-kun!" she stammered quickly, her face flushing a bit. His face remained passive, features cool and unbothered. Yet he was still hoping she would reassure him.
"I want to go with you, I really do," Sakura whispered shakily and looked down, fiddling with her fingers shyly before continuing in an even quieter tone, "I'm just... a bit scared."
After looking around discretely, the Uchiha cleared his throat quietly and lifted his hand. He cupped her chin with his cold fingers and lifted her head to meet his gaze. Her blush deepened, but she didn't seem to pull away.
Without saying anything, Sasuke leaned down and pressed his lips against the soft skin of her forehead. He stayed still for a moment, savouring this moment. After realising what was happening, Sakura felt a smile tug on her lips.
