[Meribel and Bruno return to the house, each going their separate ways. Bruno mentions that he's going to see if Abuela needs any help, while Meribel heads to the kitchen. As she enters, she finds Julieta and Augestene engaged in a serious conversation. Julieta gives a resigned sigh, indicating her reluctance to broach the subject.]
Julieta: She isn't going to like this.
[Meribel in the process of grabbing a couple of cookies for herself and Isabella, overhears their exchange and asks what they're referring to. They turn and look at her, and Julieta sighs, her expression filled with sorrow.]
Julieta: Meribel, sweetheart, we've seen how hard this has been on you. We think it would be best if... if you don't go in to see Isabella anymore. Except to say goodbye.
[Meribel's heart sinks at the realization of what her mother is suggesting. She gulps and looks down, struggling to hold back her tears. Julieta wraps her arms around her in a comforting embrace.]
[Meanwhile, elsewhere in the house, Bruno notices that Pepa has a rain cloud hovering over his head. Concerned, he approaches his and remarks on the cloud.]
Bruno: Pepa, you have a cloud.
[Pepa, clearly stressed out, acknowledges the cloud with a sigh.]
Pepa: I know! But you should try having to act like everything is fine for your kid when...
[Bruno places a comforting hand on her shoulder, a gesture of understanding. Pepa's voice breaks as she questions his feelings.]
Pepa: Do you even care?
[Bruno, realizing the impact of his behavior, apologizes and suggests they talk in her room. Pepa nods, silently accepting his offer.]
