[Isabella spots Bruno giving Roberto a quick kiss good night before heading back inside with Antonio. She nudges Meribel and points it out.]
Isabella: Look, Meri. Bruno's being all romantic.
[Meribel smiles and watches them for a moment. Then, Isabella leans in, whispering.]
Isabella: You know, Doloris overheard Bruno talking to Abuela. He's planning to propose next week. Looks like we're going to have a new tio pretty soon.
[Meribel's eyes light up with excitement, but then, she notices a hint of longing in Isabella's eyes. She puts a hand on Isabella's shoulder, trying to reassure her.]
Meribel: Hey. That's gonna be you before too long. You'll find the right girl, bring her home, and she's gonna be amazing! I know it!
[Isabella gives a small smile, but he expression soon turns serious.]
Isabella: What if I don't have time, Meri?
[Meribel thinks for a moment, then responds with a touch of humor.]
Meribel: Well, in that impossible scenario, I guess you'll just have to put up with the most irritating little roommate for whatever time you have left. And I'll keep you all to myself!
[Isabella laughs, and they both lay down, gazing up at the stars. Isabella speaks softly.]
Isabella: If that were to happen, I think I'd feel a bit better about it. You'd be there with me, right?
[Meribel nods, promising she'd never leave her side. Isabella smiles, comforted, then laughs.]
Isabella: Can you believe that five months ago, we hated each other?
[Meribel giggles, feeling the warmth between them.]
Meribel: It's pretty funny, isn't it? You selfish, entitled princess?
[Isabella pretends to be mortified.]
Isabella: Selfish?!
[They both laugh, then settle down under the star-filled sky. As Meribel takes her glasses off, she pulls a blanket up around Isabella before seeing to her own. They exchange good night wishes and fall asleep, feeling safe and loved in each other's company.]
