Ariel's pov:
"Miss me, brother."
The sound of boots thud the wet concrete floor and the predator halts at the large table sitting in the room, his eyes on the tea set.
The whole atmosphere is thick with humidity which is ironic considering 75 per cent of Hell is a lake of molten fire and brimstone.
"You tell me," I snicker," having gone through all that trouble to have me. Do you miss our little family reunions or were you just bored."
"Your petty arrogance will not save you here," Lucifer pours himself what I guess is tea from a small black kettle into a small mug and stirs," This is my den..and I? I'm the Lion that rules it all. I advise you take this matter more seriously, because you only face two options here, do or die."
"Taking life serious is like listening to boring music. I prefer to tease and joke around every now and then. You know..to spice up the mood." My lips form a haughty smile.
Lucifer quietly sips his beverage from the saucer after he drops the steel spoon, most definitely finding me impossible to deal with already.
I can't blame him though.
Even though the family cut all ties with him, he is still part of the bloodline like me. Even his small act of sipping tea from the saucer makes me wonder how this devil once used to live in Heaven. I wonder what he was like then.
He places the saucer back on the table and sighs heavily.
"Do you despise me, Ariel" he asks."Stop giving yourself too much importance Lucy. I have better things to do than hate you. You can think of it as me not giving a fuck."
"That is comprehensible since it used to be a mutual feeling, but despite me being the most nefarious being to ever exist i am still the only person who has offered you a hand during this new phase of your life." he explains
I scoffed at the '..offered you a hand'.
"You care about me," I snarl," next joke please."
He paces towards me and folds his hands before he continues.
"I suppose explaining my warm gesture wouldn't make any difference anyway. I own you now since you yourself was willing to be a sacrificial offering to me."
"Don't get cocky Lucifer. I only came here to tell you to do the world a favour and go kill yourself. Stop bothering my life." I scowled.
Lucifer growls grabbing my neck in his fist tightly. He has very much been trying to control his anger but I intentionally bring out the worst in people.
That's when you see them for who they really are.
"You defiant little.."
"Let go" I interrupt in a casual tone.
"How dare you." Lucifer attempts to punch me with his other fist but pauses when my eye colour fades to white.
"Let go" I growl.
There is only one devil in this room, and it's me.
Breaking through the chains preventing my hands any movement, I turn my body, grab his hand and jerk his body away before giving him a sharp kick in his abdomen.
He groans as I push him against the wall in a choke hold with both hands and he taps my arms unable to breath.
"Do you think you have me held hostage here or something. No. I let you chain me up because I don't want to be the cause of another mass massacre. All I want is for you to leave me the hell alone. Don't you dare cross my path ever again or I will finish what Michael started and kill you. Are we clear."
