Sorsha opened her eyes to complete and utter darkness.

"She's awake." She heard a guy's voice. She had no idea what was going on. She was sleeping peacefully and then woke up like this. One would say she was a light sleeper; by one, her dad. So she was sort of confused as to how she hadn't realized anything.

She could feel the cloth wrapped tightly around her face and frowned as she tried to concentrate on her breathing.

Dad was right, the security was much needed. Perhaps she should have been more patient with his protectiveness.

"Take the covering off, lemme see her." The guy spoke again.

Sorsha was also tied up by chains, both around her hands and feet, probably to stop her from using her magic.

She sighed, she was going to either be used as a pawn or murdered. Shit, she left her book on a cliffhanger.

And her painting, it was still incomplete.

And today she forgot to kiss her dad goodnight before she went to bed. Of course, of all other nights she had to pick tonight.

"Of course you wanna see her face." She heard a newer, more familiar voice.

Then suddenly, the cloth covering her face was completely taken off. She flinched, shutting her eyes at the sudden increase of intensity of the light. Once she adjusted to the lights, she got a good look at the girl kneeling in front of her. Her dark, clear skin was majestic. The determination in her eyes, the fierce expression, everything was absolutely stunning.

"Woah." She heard the guy say, who was a feet away from the girl. He had similar features, they must be related. They both looked, well, mesmerizing.

What Sorsha hadn't expected was for the girl to raise her hand, about to hit her. She winced before her hand even neared, anyone could tell how strong she was.

There must've been many guards they had to beat.

Before Sorsha could get hit however, the hand stopped. She gently opened her eyes and stared ahead to see another girl, standing in front of her, defending her.

"She hasn't resisted. Stand down." The girl, whose back was facing her, said.

"Excuse me?!"

"Ayra. Stand. Down. Amer, come on, we should get back to training. Leave the girl alone, she has no powers, she's all tied up."

"Why do you care if we hurt her Mira?" That 'Ayra' stared intensely at 'Mira'.

"I don't, I really really don't. However it feels rather unfair. Prove your power by fighting opponents who aren't tied down with no magic. Be a leader Ayra, not some common street goon with an arrow." Mira glared.

"Are you coming or not? Or do you wanna wait it out till Zayer gets more strong, cause you need to slap a tied up prisoner?" Mira asked looking at the twins.

"We'll train. But after a few hours. I need to go to bed and then do a meeting with my soldiers. I'll meet you at the field in about ten hours. Ayra, go wake Alec up. He'll meet you in your room. Get some sleep, we just travelled back." Amer said looking directly at Mira, before leaving the room. Ayra followed behind.

As soon as they left Mira turned towards the girl and sat in front, to match her height.

"Hey! I know you." Mira said with a slight look of confusion. What happened the day she left?

She was so sure she was being helped out by some blonde girl with light brown eyes, her features were hard to miss. When she woke up with Amer and Ayra, she was fully expecting to see her.

Who knew she was the princess.

Mira frowned, she was actually at Orachi. She wasn't misguided. She did go there first. How did she end up in Morik? She failed to remember as all her memories from those days now felt like vague spurs images.

Sorsha slightly glared and then looked away without saying anything.

Mira tried to remember. How did she actually know her. Her powers, she had some sort of healing powers.

"I did end up in Orachi. Where I-" Mira whispered as she tried to piece her memories together.

The princess slightly glared and still kept her silence maintained. Mira, now ignoring her, mainly focused on what had happened that day.

"You're a healer." Mira shut her eyes trying to think straight and imagine what happened. "I ended up getting captured, cause I was wanted. And I ended up in front of the palace."

Mira frowned. She didn't remember much of it but as soon as they started remember the initial part, the memories started recollecting itself better. There were a bunch of guards about to attack her and she was the most terrified she had ever been. She was never going to survive through that.

Mira's eyes slightly widened and she looked up.

"You saved my life. You intentionally let me escape after you healed me, then directed me towards Morik's border!" Mira said surprised. "You were the princess?!"

Sorsha, again, without words looked away. Mira frowned.

"You saved my life."

Sorsha, was still facing the other direction.

"It was you wasn't it? What's your name?" Mira asked. But at the lack of response, sighed out of slight annoyance. But she also knew she had all the right to be like that.

After a minute pause.

"Okay. I'm sorry." Mira said getting a bit uncomfortable suddenly.

"I said sorry!" Mira uttered out getting a bit frustrated.

"You know what? I'm not sorry anymore. This needed to happen. Sometimes-"

"TALK!" Mira said.

Why was she getting this worked up? Mira had no idea what was going on.

"Look, don't give me this attitude."

Still silence.

"Okay, don't talk. Whatever." Mira rolled her eyes. "I couldn't care one bit."

"Next time someone tries to hurt you, I won't be stopping anything. Stay miserable." Mira said and left the cell, slamming the door whilst in the process.

-

"Where were you?" Alec asked as soon as she entered. "Wow you look... gross-"

Alec snickered. Mira glared, she had never seen him laugh. That too presumably because of how she looked with the bangs and the makeup. His delight was short-lived though as then, the next second he started coughing after his constant laughter.

Mira smirked a little. "You're getting no water this time."

Alec rolled his eyes and straightened up a little.

"Come on, train me. I slept a little on Ayra's back while coming here." Mira said, as Alec nodded and followed behind.
