A flicker of light in the darkness,
a whisper from the depths of time.
Memory, fragile yet persistent,
emerges unbidden, pulling at the heart.Faces long gone, voices now silent,
resurface in the quiet moments,
etching themselves into the fabric of now,
blurring the lines between past and present. The scent of old books,
the sound of a forgotten song,
a fleeting glimpse of a summer day-
they transport me to another place,
where emotions once lived vividly,
now softened by the years.Pain and joy interwoven,
a tapestry of what was,
each thread a story,
each knot a moment held tight.Memory, both comfort and ache,
a reminder of who we were,
and the echoes that shape who we are-
a gentle ache of what once was,
lingering, ever present, ever distant.-Chanté Buchanan
