Today, I stand in shadows, unsure of who I'll be,
With dreams I wear like heavy chains, I stumble through each day.
My reflection feels a stranger's face, distant, hard to see,
Caught between the past I've lived and the future I chase away. But one day, I'll rise above these cracks, and stitch my broken seams,
One day, my hands will shape the stars, no longer clutching fear.
I'll find my voice in the quiet night, and sing the songs I kept in dreams,
The weight of doubt will lift, and hope will pull me near. One day, the road won't feel so long, my steps will firm and strong,
I'll chase the sun, not run from its light, and welcome its embrace.
I'll wear the crown of all I've yet to be, where I truly belong,
One day, I'll stand, unshaken, in the fullness of my grace.- Chanté Buchanan
