Leia Welsh

I wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck, rubbing my temples to alleviate the throbbing pain. Blinking away the fog in my eyes, I discover Ari snoozing on top of me, while Henson is passed out on the floor. Typical.

"GOOD MORNING, USA!" I shout, clapping my hands together loudly.

Ari falls off me in surprise, landing on Henson who lets out a high-pitched yelp that wouldn't be out of place in a Disney princess movie.

"I HAVE A FEELING THAT IT'S GONNA BE ONE SHITTY ASS DAY," I continue, as Ari retaliates by tossing a pillow my way, her fiery hair a wild mess.

Gotta love American Dad. I haven't watched it since I was younger, but I do remember it was funny. I also really liked the opening. I like most openings, especially anime openings.

Like 'gurenge' from demon slayer or 'unravel' from Tokyo Ghoul. I'm not really an anime fan, I just really like their intro song openings. I don't understand a single word, but I like the melody and lyrics, whatever the hell they mean.

"Can't you just act normal for once?" Henson mumbles, fumbling around for his glasses on the floor. I can't help but smirk at his disheveled state.

"If you want to be fashionably late for class, be my guest, Snow White," I retort, causing him to scramble to his feet, hastily pecking Ari on the forehead before darting out of our dorm in a panic, much to my amusement.

He still has like an hour before class starts, I just didn't want to see his face around my dorm so early in the morning.

Once you mention that he's going to be late for something, he doesn't even check the time, instead he goes all haywire and bolts to wherever he needs to be.

"Next time, maybe just give me a gentle tap on the shoulder, yeah?" Ari grumbles, as I help her up from the floor.

"Got it, wake-up calls will be more civilized from now on," I promise, following her to the kitchen after shedding my shorts due to the stifling heat.

I grab a box of Honey Nut Cheerios, my go-to breakfast choice. I mean they're the best cereal out there – sorry not sorry to all the Captain Crunch and chocolate cereal lovers.

How anyone can handle all that sugar first thing in the morning is beyond me. Sure, Honey Nut Cheerios have their fair share of sugar, but it's not overpowering like those other options. Plus, the honey flavor adds a nice touch that you can actually taste.

"Did you mingle last night?" Ari asks, a sly grin on her face that reminds me of Kohl Warren and the kiss that sent shivers down my spine.

I push those thoughts aside and simply shake my head in response. After the way things went down yesterday, Warren's bound to regret his words. Or maybe not. Who knows?

One thing's for sure, though – when he mentioned that I wanted the same thing he did, he wasn't entirely wrong.

I did want it, until he revealed his identity and all my instincts screamed at me to run in the opposite direction. And run I did, thankfully.

"You need to break out of your shell, Leia," Ari insists, taking a big bite of her banana as she speaks.

"I did go to a party, you know. That's a big step for me," I retort, watching as Ari shrugs nonchalantly before disappearing into her room.

I finish off the last of my milk and then gather up the blankets and pillows that Henson had scattered around my room last night.

The guy insisted on having some comfort to sleep on, even though there was an empty bed in Ari's room, but he was practically glued to Ari's side all night.
