Leia Welsh

It's been a fabulous week with Warren after he won the finals. He's been crashing in my dorm every night since Ari hasn't been around a lot and because Athena jetted off to some third world country for a small vacation, yes, she took a vacation during the middle of the school year.

How she manages to do that is beyond me, but hey, when your family's rolling in dough, perks like that come with the territory.

Warren is still a raging horndog. His stay here has left me feeling like I've been hit by a bus, but I can't say I didn't enjoy every minute of it.

Tim and Rocky on the other hand have been popping in and out for snacks, leaving me high and dry in the snack department.

No more midnight munchies for me.

Today, we're all heading to Martha's Diner for a change of scenery. I've picked out the perfect dress for the occasion, but with my body feeling like it's been through a marathon, I'm not sure if I should risk wearing it. Warren's wandering hands might just make a grand entrance and rip it off right there in front of the whole restaurant.Oh, the horror.

After quickly tidying up the mess of Rocky's junk food, I use the back of my hand to wipe away the beads of sweat forming on my forehead.

Life has been pretty amazing lately. I landed a job at the diner just across the street, and tomorrow I'll finally be able to pay off some of my college tuition. The cash is safely tucked away in my piggy bank, and I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

As I hear a loud knock on the door, I can't help but smirk, knowing it's probably Warren returning for his forgotten phone. Being the fantastic girlfriend that I am, I didn't mention it when he left it behind.

Today, I'm feeling particularly generous. I swagger over to the door, open it slowly, and then flop back onto the couch, purposely avoiding looking at him yet.

I might get a little too excited by the sight of his post shower radiance, if you know what I mean.

"So, did you happen to leave something behind, babe?" I start to say, my grin fading in an instant as I spot my mom and Miranda standing there instead.

My mom's gaze softens, and suddenly, my throat feels as parched as the Sahara Desert.

"Leia...Hi," Miranda says softly, her voice filled with a mix of uncertainty and longing.

I stand up, feeling torn between wanting to run away and wanting to throw my arms around her in a tight hug. My emotions are all over the place.

I can't quite figure out where I stand with Miranda. We haven't spoken in a while, and I was mad at her for a long time. But now, with my mom standing beside her, a genuine smile on her face, I feel a sense of relief wash over me.

It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I realize that I don't want to hold onto that anger anymore. "I've missed you," My mom says, her voice filled with warmth and sincerity.

Her appearance is comforting, with her gentle smile and soft eyes. I can see the love in her gaze, and it catches me off guard.

"Mom," I say, trying to convey through my tone that I want to start fresh, that I no longer hold any anger towards her. Life has been good, and I want to keep it that way.

"Yes?" Miranda and my mom both say at the same time, their voices overlapping in a moment of confusion. We all look at each other, our eyes darting back and forth before we burst into laughter.

Running up to them, I wrap my arms around them both tightly. They hug me back just as tightly, and in that moment, I feel a sense of peace and contentment wash over me.
