It has been almost a month since the bus incident, but Saneul just can't seem to forget his beautiful voice. Ever since the first ever encounter with him, she became more aware of his presence around her. It did not help that he started visiting the new cafe she worked at.
She worked at a vinyl cafe called 'Off The Record' where customers get to enjoy their favourite vinyls while enjoying a nice drink.
Based on the number of times he visited the store in the past month, she can tell that he really enjoys listening to genres like rock and old pop. It's concerning how well she knew the bands he likes.
Nirvana, ACDC, My Chemical Romance, Carpenters, Micheal Jackson, The Beatles, she can probably continue listing down the many artists.
It was almost time for her shift and she can't help but to let her thoughts drift back to him. She tidied up the listening booth she was at and was heading to the staff lounge to put on her apron.
It became a habit for her to study at the cafe after school before her shift starts. It was a good way for her to keep up with her studies while at the same time earning some extra income.
Maybe it was due to his influence, but she found herself listening to the same records he did every time she studied. In the beginning, it was just to satisfy her curiosity. But it slowly started to grow on her and now you will catch her listening to these bands on repeat.
"Sorry, may I borrow the vinyl that you are holding?"
That voice.
She looked up and there he was in the flash. Glancing down, she saw that he was referring to the Carpenters Top Of The World vinyl that she was listening to. Frantically nodding her head, she handed the vinyl over.
While doing that, he must've noticed the other vinyls Saneul was holding, because he suddenly became so excited.
"Do you like these genres too?" he asked.
Too stunned to speak, she nodded again and pointed to the vinyl he was holding, trying to hint that the one he was holding was her favourite.
"No way! These are all my favourite too! This store has such a great collection. Anyways, thank you for lending this vinyl to me." he gave a slight bow as he thanked her.
Yes I know... Because I have been silently observing you for the past month... I don't know why too...
"No problem, I was just about to start my shift. Hope you enjoy your time here, and feel free to approach the cashier if you want to order any drinks!"
Saneul tried her best to come up with a proper sentence without embarrassing herself and made her way over to the staff lounge.
Closing the door behind her, she unknowingly let out a breath that she didn't even know she was holding. He makes her so nervous every time he's around.
She quickly wore her apron and headed over to the cashier to start her shift. It was a slow day as usual. The occasional customers that come and go.
He didn't leave though.
He was there for majority of her shift.
After what seemed like hours, he finally got up to leave. One thing that she noticed about him was the fact that he is such a well-mannered guy.
Always placing the vinyls at the return counter, returning the cups, tidying up the space he used, and even thanking the staffs before heading out. These were the little details that she can't help but to grow more fond of the mysterious boy.
