Victor Anderson waited at the café, his eyes occasionally darting towards the door, anticipating the arrival of the eyewitnesses Tom had mentioned. Just then, a man in his forties approached him. "Hi. You must be Victor, right?" the man said, extending his hand.

Victor nodded. "Yes, and you are?"

"David Turner, 48 years old," the man replied, settling down. Victor introduced himself as the lead detective, to which David nodded understandingly.

"Let's wait for my friends; they should be here soon. Let's order something while we wait," Victor suggested, and they both ordered drinks.

After a while, Victor's team arrived, along with a young man in his twenties. "Who's this?" Victor inquired, pointing to the newcomer.

"Oh, him, he's Ethan Clarke, one of the witnesses I mentioned. Met him on my way here," Tom explained, as Victor nodded.

"Wait, two people are missing. Where are they?" Han interjected.

"They got caught in traffic, said it would be about 30 minutes," Alex responded.

As everyone settled, Victor's demeanor shifted to sharp focus. "David," he began, "can you walk us through exactly what you saw on the day of the incident?"

David leaned forward, his tone serious. "I was walking my dog around the neighborhood when I heard a loud crash. I rushed towards the sound and saw two cars had collided. Just before the police arrived, I noticed a man hurrying away from the scene."

Victor took notes, then turned to the younger witness. "And Ethan, what did you see? Were you at the same spot as David?"

The young man seemed nervous but began, "I wasn't exactly where David was, but from where I stood, I could see the aftermath of the crash. Someone did dash towards an alley. It was too far to see clearly, but they seemed in a hurry."

Victor discussed the accounts with his group. "None of you were at the scene, but your insights are valuable. Any thoughts on these accounts? Anything odd or particularly significant?"

Tom commented, "The person fleeing could be crucial. We need to find out what they were trying to hide by running away."

Han added, "Checking the security cameras in that alley might give us a clearer picture of our suspect."

Just then, the door banged open, and two women, clearly out of breath, made their entrance. "Excuse me, are you Victor Anderson?" one of them asked.

"Yes," Victor replied, curiosity piqued.

"I'm terribly sorry for the delay. I'm Sophie Harper, one of the witnesses, and this is Lily Reynolds," the woman apologized as she introduced herself and her friend.

As they settled in, an exchange of whispers passed between them, their gaze flicking between Victor and his group. "He looks so handsome, right?" Lily whispered.

Sophie responded, her eyes sparkling mischievously, "Not just him, his whole friend group looks quite impressive."

Victor, catching part of their conversation, refocused the meeting. "Now that everyone is here, let's get back to business," he said, steering the conversation back to the case. "Sophie, Lily, since you've just joined us, could you share what you saw during the incident?"

Sophie nodded, her professional demeanor returning as she delved into her account, which hinted at a third party possibly orchestrating the chaos from behind the scenes.

With everyone finally present, Victor felt the case's complexity deepen with each new piece of testimony. The dynamics in the room shifted towards a collective resolve to unravel the mystery, setting the stage for further investigations that would likely reveal even more than any of them anticipated.
