As he hangs up the phone, he's left with a whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him. Unsure of how Eliz truly feels, he finds himself replaying their conversation over and over in his mind, analyzing every word and gesture for clues about her intentions. Despite his confident demeanor, he can't shake the nagging doubt that maybe she doesn't feel the same way about him.
As he goes about his day, John finds himself distracted, unable to focus on his usual tasks. Thoughts of Eliz consume him, and he longs to hear her voice again. But just as he's about to reach for his phone to call her, he receives a text message from an unknown number. It's a cryptic message that sends a shiver down his spine, hinting at a secret from his past that's come back to haunt him.
Suddenly, John's world is turned upside down as he's forced to confront ghosts from his past and make difficult choices that could jeopardize his budding relationship with Eliz.
The sky's gone dark but not John's thoughts. He was still in his thoughts. "It's better not getting close to her and let her get trapped in my dark past too" he thought while shaking off his thoughts. He went in bed and tucked himself to sleep.
Meanwhile on the other side,
Eliz's mind buzzed with thoughts of John as she lay in bed, the clock striking 9 PM. "He looked dashing tonight," she admitted to herself, surprised by the compliment she unwittingly gave. "But falling for him? That's ridiculous, isn't it?" she pondered, her thoughts swirling as she drifted off to sleep.
Morning broke, and Eliz awoke to the soft glow of dawn, the clock on her nightstand reading 7:30. "Wow, up so early," she exclaimed, a hint of excitement in her voice. After a refreshing shower, she slipped into an elegant emerald green satin dress, feeling a surge of confidence. As she walked down the stairs, all eyes turned to her, admiring whispers following her every move. Her father, beaming with pride, welcomed her, his gesture urging her forward. With a racing heart, Eliz followed him, her mind still consumed by thoughts of John and the uncertain future ahead.
Let me introduce you to some of my friends, dear," her father chimed, gesturing towards a man in his forties. "Good morning, gentlemen. This is my daughter, Eliz Hansleigh," he announced proudly.
"Hi, dear, I'm George Anderson, but you can call me Uncle Anderson," the man greeted with a warm smile.
"You look stunning, Dad, and you too, Uncle," Eliz complimented, her admiration evident in her voice.
"Don't I always?" her father retorted playfully; his confidence infectious. Eliz couldn't help but chuckle at her father's charm. He had always been one of the standout individuals in her eyes, and that hadn't changed a bit.
