Katniss's mothers pov
She came running over to us. "Mom......" she started to say. I saw tears filling her eyes as she came to sit on the floor by prim and I. "Katniss, gale.... he... he fell into a coma. I don't know why. It might be from dehydration or infection..... oh Katniss I'm sorry."
The look on my daughters face was awful. I should have just let her sleep. Why did I tell her. "He..." she choked out as tears streamed down her face. This was the first time I have really seen her cry. She started to moan and cry. "Nooooooo" she cried out "noo" she said. "Mom why? Why him? He didn't do anything wrong! What did he do to deserve this?" She screamed out in anger. I didn't know what to say. She put her head back where it was just this morning when they were talking cheerily about hunting. Except this time Katniss had her head down and was crying and moaning "nooo." she lifted her head up and looked at him. Her lip quivered. More tears came running down her face. I ran my fingers through her knotty hair to calm her down. She stopped crying after a while. I had never seen her this . Not even when my husband died. I guess she was more emotional after the games. She didn't was to loss someone else right in front of her eyes. I felt awful that there was nothing I could do to comfort her.
