Chapter 7

Triplets!

I'm having three babies!

Three!

What am I going to do that is three times everything? I was going to invest in diapers alone. I was feeling sick just thinking about all the crap I needed to buy. Three babies, that means that ones always going to be hungry, one is always going to be needing a nappy change. How are you suposed to feed, change and rock three babies at the same time? I remember the stories my mother used to tell about dealing with twins, that she never got any sleep until we were around five. I love to sleep, and it is essential in life how the hell am I going to sleep with three babi es. How come I had never thought about multiples, I mean it should have been the first thing I thought about since both Jace and I were apart of twins. My mind was a blur, trying to think about what I was going to do. It did not help that Jace kept on saying "Three" over and over again like it was a freaking miracle. 

"Three" Jace muttered shaking his head once again.

"Shut up" I said.

"What?" he replied coming out of his daze.

"I said 'shut up' you have been going on for the last twenty minutes, just muttering the same bloody word. Three, three, three. Yes Jace I have three babies inside me and I'm trying to bloody think, so would you shut the hell up." I shouted. I took a deep breath realising that I was probally sounding like a crazy person. I quickly apologised. 

"It's okay babe, but seriously we are having three babies. Man I'm a machine wait till I tell the guys" he chuckled, I glared at him.

"Oh you think this is funny, Jace. We'll you are not the one who has to carry these babies around in you for the next seven months so shut the hell up. Oh and don't even think about touching me, you are offically banned from my body." I shouted. From the look on his face, I was a tad harsh he looked like I had just kicked his puppy.

The rest of the car drive back to his place was in silence. He came around and helped me out of the car and we walked up the front steps and into the apartment complex.

"You do realise we aren't going to be able to live in apartments with three babies" I said.

"So we buy a house" he said as if it was as simple as that.

"Oh yeah with what, I have no money! The last time I went for a loan they refused before I even walked in the door and last time I checked you're only a security guard, do you even get health insurance?" I huffed as I stormed up the stairs towards his apartment. He was silent and continued to follow me up the stairs.

I reached his apartment and found my keys and unlocked the door. "I am just seriously overwhelmed here and I can't believe this I was just getting used to the idea of one and now it's three" I was starting to have a panic attack so I turned around and walked up to him. He pulled me into his arms and just let me cry into his shoulder.

[JACE'S POV]

I stroked her hair as she cried. Three babies, I couldn't believe it, I mean it was possible since we both were twins but still it was a shock.

"I love you" I whispered in her ear. She continued to cry, I pulled her closer to me and wiped the tears from her eyes and kissed her lips softly.

"Hey man, thought I heard you come in" Deacon's voice came from the doorway from the opening of the living room.

"Hey, I'll talk to you later okay, I'm just going to get her into bed, she's had a long day" I replied. He nodded and I lifted her so her legs wrapped around my waist. I carried her to my room and eased her down on to the bed.

"How are we going to do it, Jason?" she whispered.

"We'll figure it out okay" I replied refusing to tell her just how rich I was at this moment. She nodded and curled up in my bed and feel asleep.

I found Deacon in the living room watching the sports channel. He looked up at me as I entered and noticed the stress on my face.

"What's wrong, bro?" he asked.

"She doesn't know about how rich I am and if I tell her now it's going to ruin what we have" I whispered.

"How can she not know Jason, you've been with her for six years!" he said. I walk over and sit down next to him on the couch.

"I don't know it just never came up I once decided to tell her but then I was scared she'd only want me for my money, which is stupid because I know her and she would never care about money but I couldn't so I just told her I got a job at a security company and that I guard different things from time to time." I sighed and put my head in my hands. Deacon put a hand on my shoulder and gave it a friendly squeeze.

"You've got to tell her bro, otherwise she's going to find out by herself and she's going to be pissed that you didn't tell her yourself." he was right and I knew it. "Just how rich are you by the way?"

"I dunno last time I checked it was over 300" I replied.

"Thousand?"

"No million!" his eyes nearly popped out of his head. "What we do a lot of government and private work." We went back to watching the TV and after half an hour Deacon turned to me.

"I'm shipping out again in three week!" he said. I froze my and I turned to face him. He had just got back, I can't believe he is leaving again and now it's going to be worse for Love as she is pregnant. 

"How long?" I asked nervously.

"Dunno anywhere from three to eighteen months" he smiled sadly. "You going to look after my twin sister for me buddy?"

"No doubt about that Deac. You promise to make it home" he said.

"Hmm I'll try my best" he said no smile this time.

"You got to make it home, Deac" I say fiercely.

"Oh yeah and why is that?" he asked not looking at me.

"Repeat anything I tell you to anyone else and I'll kill you okay" I warned.

"Sure"

"Love's pregnant!" I said. "With triplets so you bloody well better make it home because my kids are going to need their Uncle okay!"

Deacon had tears in his eyes when he answered, "How far along is she?"

"Two months in, so in seven months' time I'm going to be a daddy and you bloody better be alive so you can be an uncle" I said fiercely.

He smiled and looked back at the screen. "You a father, now that I have to see!"
