He believed he was different because he only had one daughter and was still with his wife. Moreover, he owned a house in the city. With his looks, which he thought were superior to Zhou Yueshen's, he couldn't imagine any woman not being tempted by his conditions.

Thinking this, Li Mingjun straightened his back confidently, adjusting his leather jacket. If it weren't for the circumstances, he would have wanted to immediately tell Sinan how great he was. If she didn't choose him, she'd regret it for the rest of her life...

At that moment, Li Mingjun even pictured the scene of the proud woman fawning over him, trying to win his favor...

"Ahchoo! Ahchoo!" Sinan sneezed twice as she set down her lunchbox. She rubbed her nose, annoyed, wondering who was always talking behind her back.

"Feeling unwell?" A deep voice came from behind her.

Sinan turned around to see Xinqi, wearing a military-green vest, approaching from behind, moisture evident on his body. His tall figure stepped into the small office, his deep black eyes fixed on her.

This was Zhou Yueshen's private resting place.

The room wasn't large, just containing a small bed and a table. The table was cluttered with handwritten orders and invoices, densely packed with numbers. The handwriting was bold and sharp, giving a deep and weighty feeling.

"It's just a bit hot," Sinan replied.

She had just walked over, sweating a bit. Hearing this, Zhou Yueshen casually turned on the nearby fan. A cool breeze brushed against her skin, scattering her neatly arranged hair. Sinan sighed in relief.

"Let's eat. There's pork rib soup from the day before yesterday, along with two dishes: braised eggplant and tomato scrambled eggs. You should like them. Oh, it's hot, so I also brought you some iced mung bean soup to cool down. Try it."

She placed her pink insulated cup from her handbag onto the table. The original owner loved health foods and often drank herbal teas. Being a broadcaster, she needed to take care of her throat. So, she bought this insulated cup with excellent heat preservation and a large capacity.

Sinan couldn't find any cups at home, so she used this one. Despite her young age, the original owner liked delicate things, even the insulated cup had pink floral patterns, suggesting it wasn't cheap.

Zhou Yueshen stood beside her, looking at the cup and the exquisite lunch on the table. It was made with care. Although he wasn't sure how long she could keep this up, for now, Sinan was doing very well.

Zhou Yueshen pulled a chair out for her to sit and fetched a stool for himself from outside, holding a slice of watermelon in his hand, which he handed to her.

Seeming concerned about her finding it dirty, he had a piece of paper beneath it. His voice deep, he said, "It's grown by villagers, quite sweet. Try it."

Sinan took it without hesitation, "Thank you."

Zhou Yueshen nodded slightly without saying much. When they were alone, he was always a man of few words, maintaining his reserved nature.

Sinan nibbled on the watermelon, planning to leave after he finished eating. She watched him; even just sitting, he was tall with a well-built physique. He ate quickly but without making any smacking sounds or giving any sense of rudeness. His face remained calm. He was not the type to let food dictate his mood.

Unable to resist, Sinan asked, "Is it good?"

Zhou Yueshen paused for a moment, then responded, "Hmm, very good."

Sinan chuckled, "Then why the stern face?"

Zhou Yueshen: "..."

After a brief silence, he seemed to gather his thoughts. His voice deep, he said, "Your cooking is delicious. I'm not being stern; it's just how I naturally am. Don't overthink it."

Indeed, many people had been intimidated by his expression before. Zhou Yueshen was concerned she might misunderstand.

Sinan smiled, "That's good then. If you like it, I'll cook more in the future."

Zhou Yueshen nodded, "Don't tire yourself out. I'll come back to eat when I have time."

Sinan nodded.

Just as they were talking, someone hurriedly came in, "Boss, the goods have arrived. They want you to take a look."

Zhou Yueshen stood up, putting down his chopsticks and saying to Sinan, "You rest for a bit. I'll go take a look and be back soon."

Sinan didn't think much of it and nodded slightly.

After enjoying the fan's breeze for a while, Sinan felt her head getting heavy, probably an aftereffect from yesterday's bump. She turned off the fan and sat at the table, idly waiting for a bit. Feeling uncomfortable, she lay down for a while.

After sweating, people tend to feel drowsy. She yawned and dozed off.

Yu Dong followed Zhou Yueshen in from the entrance, with several people from the breeding farm behind him. They had come to discuss matters and didn't expect to see Sinan resting on the table as soon as they walked in.

Yu Dong was surprised, "Is this the sister-in-law?"

Others nodded, "You've just returned, right? Our Brother Zhou is getting married soon, on October 1st, National Day!"

"Got to say, sister-in-law's cooking is really good. I smelled the aroma as soon as I approached. It's so fragrant~!"

Someone even leaned in to take a deep whiff.

Zhou Yueshen gave them a cold glance, "Step out and talk. Let her sleep."

Not long after, everyone dispersed, except for Yu Dong, who stubbornly lingered around. He was just too curious about this sister-in-law. He felt he should at least say hello since he was here.

Zhou Yueshen looked over at the figure lying there without saying a word.

Yu Dong, with his lack of boundaries, walked up to the table and reached out to grab a piece of spare rib, putting it in his mouth. His eyes widened dramatically, "Wow, this spare rib smells amazing. How did you cook it?" As he spoke, he reached out to grab another piece.

Zhou Yueshen's expression remained indifferent, his voice low and cold, "You have nothing better to do?"

Startled, Yu Dong almost dropped the spare rib in his hand, hastily speaking up, "No, I'm not free, I just got back!"

It was only halfway through his words that he realized Sinan was still resting there. Under Zhou Yueshen's icy stare, he covered his mouth, attempting to explain with his eyes that he didn't mean to.

Seeing Sinan stir, Zhou Yueshen instinctively reached out and patted her shoulder.

However, Sinan, in her drowsy state, sweaty and uncomfortable, mistook her surroundings. Thinking she was at home, she subconsciously reached out and grabbed the person beside her, "Yaoyao, stop messing around, let me sleep a bit longer."

Her slender, fair fingertips, tinted with a hint of pink, clasped Zhou Yueshen's hand, which was somewhat rough but with distinct and elegant joints.

In that moment, the air around seemed to freeze.

The whole room fell silent.

Yu Dong's mouth gaped open, looking utterly baffled. The spare rib in his mouth was almost forgotten.

Zhou Yueshen lowered his eyes and gently withdrew his hand.
