T hovered above the colony, her optics scanning the rooftop with predatory focus. The soft hum of machinery was drowned out by the echoing thoughts of her mission. She spotted it—a weakened section of the roof, a glaring vulnerability left behind by N's post-fight flight. "How careless," she thought with a smirk, descending towards the compromised area.
Behind her, V followed suit, her sensors analyzing T's every move with a mix of caution and curiosity. Her tail twitched with anticipation, a coiled spring ready to unleash its deadly strike. As they touched down inside, V's tail tightened, poised to strike from behind.
But T was a step ahead. With a swift, fluid motion, she unsheathed her razor-sharp sword, turning around just as V lunged. The blade sliced through V's neck like a hot knife through butter, severing her head cleanly from her body. V's headless form crumpled to the ground, her tail thrashing briefly before going limp.
T looked down at V's neutralized body, her optics cold and calculating. "Nice try," she taunted, wiping the residual oil from her blade before sheathing it. Without another glance at V's fallen form, T turned her attention to the labyrinthine network of ducts that sprawled above her.
Sometime later, a janitor drone making its routine rounds stumbled upon V's mostly regenerated body. The drone paused, its optics voiding in surprise at the sight before it. V's body was slowly piecing itself back together, her circuits glowing faintly as the healing nanites worked their magic.
As the janitor drone moved closer, V's optics flickered open, locking onto the drone with a mixture of annoyance and relief. "Took you long enough," she grumbled, pushing herself into a sitting position as the final layers of her body reassembled.
The janitor drone awkwardly chuckled apologetically, its mechanical arms reaching out to assist V. "Sorry for the delay. Let me help you up."
With the drone's assistance, V managed to stand, her systems mostly restored as she assessed the damage. "Thanks," she muttered, eyeing her disheveled form with mild irritation.

Meanwhile, back at the WDF headquarters, Thad paced anxiously in his quarters, his circuits buzzing with concern as he awaited news of V's whereabouts. The door to his quarters slid open, revealing V, slightly disheveled but otherwise intact, standing in the doorway.
Thad's relief was palpable, his voice tinged with a mix of worry and relief. "V! Where have you been? What happened to you?"
V entered the room, her optics meeting Thad's as she recounted the harrowing encounter with T. "T's trying to kidnap Beau. She's looking for N, and we need to warn him and Uzi before it's too late."
Thad's circuits buzzed with alarm at V's revelation, his mind racing as he processed the gravity of the situation. "Kidnap Beau? We need to act fast. N and Uzi need to know right now."
Without wasting another moment, Thad activated his comm system, connecting him to N and Uzi. Their visor feeds appeared on the screen, concern etched across their features as they greeted Thad.
"N, Uzi, we have a situation," Thad began, his voice urgent. "They're trying to kidnap Beau. They're on their way to find you. Be on high alert."
Behind him, V sank onto his bed, exhaustion evident in her posture as she processed the events of the day. Thad watched her closely, his concern deepening as he took in her tired expression.
"Sit down, V. You need to rest," Thad urged, gesturing towards the bed.
V complied, sinking into the soft cushions with a sigh as she leaned back, her optics dimming with weariness. "Thanks, Thad. It's been a long day."
