Lachlan's POV:

After getting home from work, I cooked dinner and took a quick shower. After settling in for the night, I yet again found myself on my laptop looking through the articles from the murders over the last six years, trying to see what I could find out about Simon Minter. Article after article mentioned that he had killed his own parents, even though some had mentioned he had multiple alibi's during the time of the murder. The second of the murders had been just as gory as Simon's parents. The male shot multiple times, being found in the food pantry, and the female stabbed and on the kitchen floor.

This article mentioned that Minter had supposedly been at his place of employment during the time of the murder. This wasn't adding up to make me believe that Simon had killed all of these people. If he had an alibi, then he couldn't have done any of this, right? As I delved deeper into these articles, I saw that Simon had had an alibi for all of the murders, except for two of them. I kept reading and writing down everything I thought that could prove Simon wasn't responsible.

I was only snapped out of my thoughts when my phone pinged. I picked it up, just realizing it was already 10pm, and read the text from a group chat with Tobi and Vik, asking if we could move our meetup on Saturday to 2pm instead of 1pm. It pinged a second time when Vik responded.

Tobi: Hey guys, sorry to be a pain, but I had something
come up Saturday morning, can we move our hang out
to 2pm instead so I have time to go home first?

Vik: No worries, 2pm works for me.

Lachy: All good, 2pm works for me too :)

Tobi: Thanks guys! see you tomorrow.

I decided to put my laptop away for the night since the battery was getting low anyway. I could pick this back up tomorrow. I plugged my laptop in and went upstairs to finish getting ready for bed. Hopefully tomorrow's session with Simon lets me understand more of what has really happened.

Friday Morning:

I had gotten to work on time and was getting ready to head up to the cafeteria to grab Simon's breakfast before setting up the Art Therapy room for him. I got to the cafeteria and saw Kathy grab a tray for me.

"Good morning Lachlan, here's that food for you." She smiled at me, handing me the tray for Simon.

"Good morning Kathy, thank you." I smiled back at her, taking the tray before heading back down towards Simon's room. I gave a light knock on the door before opening it. He was standing by the window as I entered his room. "Good morning Simon, how'd you sleep?" I asked politely, making sure to check in with him this morning. I couldn't help but think back to how the articles I had read portrayed him, and how absolutely different he seemed in person.

"Morning. I slept alright thanks." he turned to face me as I set his tray of food on his desk. I gave him a smile before leaving him to eat his food in peace. I went over to the Art Therapy room and double checked everything was set up for Simon's session at 9:30 am. After checking, I went back to my desk to do my paperwork and check emails. I had about 45 minutes before the rest of my patients had breakfast, so this would be the best time to get all of my emails done and replied to.

Most of the emails were typical reminders of what the following week would have in store or just confirming the treatment plans we had laid out, however, I had an email from Dr. Reid asking me to meet with him after lunch time today. I responded quickly saying that I would be up after lunch. I sat back in my chair after responding to my emails and letting my mind wander and think what this meeting could possibly be about. Soon enough, it was time to take my patients up for breakfast. I got Harry and Preston, taking them upstairs and watching them both go and sit with their respective group of friends.
