Nyxanna awoke to sunlight shining in on her, she blinked a few times ensuring the warm light was real, or if it was just an illusion running through her head from being in that dark box for months. Just as before. Her eyes had to adjust to her surroundings, the brightness slightly burning them while bringing a smile to her face. She moved somewhat, feeling the soft covers that laid over her. She slowly sat up her dark hair loosely falling down her body, the blood nowhere to be seen, with her wounds healed. She rubbed her neck, her hands tracing the scar that went all around adorning her like a choker. She was now wearing Night Court clothes she hadn't seen in what felt like a lifetime. Truthfully, it was a lifetime, she had a life in Gaia, one with and without Zaya. Her smile depended as she looked around the room. She was home. Her eyes widened as her smile disappeared, she was home. The realization finally hit her like a ton of bricks. She flung the blankets off her body and ran to the window. She felt the cool breeze infiltrate her hair, gently caressing her pale skin. Her eyes churned with emotion, and without a second thought, she winnowed out of the bedroom she had awoken in. Once the smoke dissipated her eyes stared at the view before her. She now stood over the Rainbow Bridge. The place that stole her heart when she was a mere child. Her eyes built up with tears as she clung to the side gripping it, feeling the stone beneath her soft hands. She laughed to herself not believing it was real. The home she had missed for so long, the home she thought she would never see again. She gently shook as she continued crying, the sun was setting illuminating the bridge nearly scorching her eyes. She didn't dare look away. "Nyxie?" Nyxanna turned to see a man standing there staring at her with skepticism. She gulped, the man who stood before her was older and more distinguished than she remembered. The boy who was once so unsure of himself is now a Man who stands tall and strong. Nyxanna smiled as tears continued to streak her perfect skin. She ran to the man jumping onto him and wrapping her arms around his neck. Rhys. It was truly him. Her Big Brother.
Rhys was talking to Madja when he felt a pull to the bedroom. That familial bond that he hadn't felt in over 500 years jingled. He put his hand up, "I must apologize Madja.." He said walking over the bedroom. He paused for a moment before he clicked the door open, he expected to see Nyxanna but was welcomed by an empty room. He went to the window peering out. "Where'd she go?" Azriel said looking at the empty bed. Rhys laughed, "She went where she always goes." Rhys winnowed to the Rainbow bridge, not only was this his favorite spot in the city but it was hers. He appeared behind Nyxanna staring at her shaking self. "Nyxie?" Nyxanna turned, the sunlight highlighting her figure. He looked at her with uncertainty, she was so young when she died, barely turning 15 at the time. It was hard to see her all grown up, all those years he missed, all those years she lived a life. Without him. He wasn't there to protect her, see her grow into the woman she had become. Nyxanna's eyes leaked with tears as she ran towards him. Rhys happily reciprocated open arms as she landed in his grasp. She held him just as tightly as he did her, her small fragile body quivering. They both fell to their knees. Rhys pulled her away putting his hands grabbing her face. "Nyxie, is that really you?" Nyxie smiled as she blinked the tears away, "Yes. It's really me Rhysies. I'm home." Rhys pulled her back in, "I've missed you so much. I can't believe you're here, that you're alive. I thought.. I thought you were gone for good." She inhaled him weakly speaking, "Not for good. Just a few centuries." Rhys laughed as he pulled her away once again taking in her physique. Her once Olive skin was now dimmed to a fair blanch, her violet eyes replaced with claret gems. Her body was longer and slimmer to where she could easily unarm an opponent if need be. He moved his eyes to her neck where a light scar lined her neck, he put his hand to her neck remembering the head he received at his doorstep. His eyes darkened as he looked at the perfectly drawn scar. "I'll kill everyone who has EVER put a hand on you for worse." Her long fingers entangled around his hands, "And I will kill anyone who has ever put a hand on you for worse." Rhys closed his eyes as he leaned his head on hers, "Let's go home." She said still holding his hand in hers. Their pact to kill anyone who has put a hand on each other solidifying between them. Rhys and Nyxanna stood up hand in hand. Nyxanna turned toward the sunset, "It's more beautiful than I remember it." Rhys looked at his little sister, "It's the most beautiful sunset I've seen since you've been gone. Never in my 500 years have I seen it more alive." The two stayed until the sun fully set.
