"Well let's get onto the ship now. Congratulations, Bella, for passing the second phase of the exam." Mr. Netero bends his knees so that his eyes meet mine. "I wish you the best of luck."

"Thank you, Mr. Netero!" I smile and give a big wave as I walk over to Gon and Killua.

"You know that guy Bella?" Gon tilted his head in curiosity.

"Mhm. My mom called him over a few times to help with my training." When Mr. Netero was over at my house, we mainly just meditated together. Mom never meditated with us though. Mr. Netero said that it is very important that I keep a calm mind in every aspect of life, and he said that meditating helped that. We strode onto the airship, meeting the rest of the candidates in a large room on the airship.

"I will now take the opportunity to introduce myself properly to the remaining 42 applicants. I am Netero. The chairman of the selection committee for this year's hunter exam. I had originally planned to make my appearance during the exams final phase, but, well, seeing as I'm already here..." Tension was flowing in the room, and my stomach curled in knots. I feel my nen flare, but with a single deep breath, the flow goes back to ten. "I have to admit, there's nothing I love more than this feeling of tension in the air. So I think I'll stick around for the remainder of the trip." Mr. Netero let out a deep laugh, his voice resounded in the air.

"The estimated time of arrival at the next destination is 8:00am tomorrow." The little green figure next to him said. It was the same guy that gave me my badge. "You'll find dinner waiting for you in the dining hall. You're also welcome to get some rest of course. You're free to do what you want until we contact you. The whole evening is yours."

"Hey, come on Gon and Bella, let's go check out the ship."

"Ok!" I smile, we start running out of the room.

With The Examiners

"So, how many applicants do you think will make it this year?" Menchi leaned forward and cut herself a piece of cake.

"You mean who'll pass the exam?" Buhara asked.

"Yup." Menchi chuckled. "Looks like we got a pretty impressive group here. Though I did try to fail them all, sure, but still."

"Gee I don't know. I guess it depends on what the other phases are."

"That's a good point. I haven't thought of that, but a few of them stand out, didn't you notice. And a few even have this whole aura thing going on." Menchi took a bite of the food in front of her. "What do you think, Satotz?"

"I'm inclined to agree. I quite like the rookies this year."

"Yah, same here. I like number 294. I really think he's got a good shot at winning."

"I'm partial to number 99, myself."

"He looks like a spoiled selfish brat if you ask me." Menchi laughs.

"What about you Buhara?"

"Well he's not a rookie, but my money's on number 44. I'm sure you guys must've noticed it too, but when number 255 was throwing a fit, number 44 looked like he wanted to kill somebody. He had this cold intense blood lust."

"Of course I've noticed that. How could I not? It looked like he could barely restrain himself." Menchi sighed. "Hold on, didn't you realize? He's been like that ever since we showed up. I've had a bad feeling about him this whole time."

"Really?" Buhara leaned forward.

"Yah. He's the real reason I was so edgy during the exam. I mean, he kept trying to pick a fight with me."
