Mr. Netero took us to this room on the airship. He bounced the striped yellow and black ball, causing an echo to spread through the room. "Now, let's go over the rules of the game..." I excitedly raise my hand. Mr. Netero and I have played this game before, so I know the rules.

"I know! I know!" Mr Netero lets out a chuckle.

"Ok then, let's hear the rules then Bella." I nod my head, taking a deep breath to prepare to explain the rules. This was a big job.

"So all you have to do is steal the ball from him. And he will just defend the ball. It's super duper hard. I've only ever gotten to-"

"Don't go ruining all the tricks, Bella. Let's see if they can figure it out themselves." My shoulders roll forward at that.

"Awwww. Come on. I want to see if they can win."

"Bella. Stay calm." My shoulders roll back upright. I didn't feel it before, but my aura flared to one of frustration. It's definitely one of the stronger aura types I wield, but it's stronger when whoever I'm fighting is feeling frustration. My aura relies most on whatever motion is the strongest. For example, right now Gon is slightly excited and Killua is feeling slightly cocky. Of the two of them, my aura would switch to the power of someone who is feeling cocky. It isn't much stronger than excitement, but it is stronger. My aura switched to take a form of frustration because my feeling of frustration was greater than Killua's feelings of cockiness.

The phrase 'switching of aura,' was developed specifically to describe my nen ability, where my nen changes in strength and feeling. The aura seems to have a mind of its own and tends to be influenced by whatever emotion will make me the strongest at that moment in time. Not many people are even aware of my abilities except for a select few hunters. If my power got into the wrong hands, it could definitely be exploited, as, unlike others, I can't control how strong my nen is or the feeling of my ten. These two factors are constant in everyone but me.

"Ok, we got this, Gon and Killua!" I pump my fist in the air. I haven't won this game before, but maybe with these two I'll have a shot.

"I'll give it a shot." Killua stepped forward and started pacing in circles. Eventually, one by one, I started seeing a whole bunch of Killua's. He continued to take step after step, and the after images continued. I waited. Watching for any signs of the real Killua. That step messed with my senses. I lost track of him right away. His footsteps were silent. Out of nowhere, Killua jumped forward and Mr. Netero barely dodged. Killua then attempted to swipe the ball over and over again, but Mr. Netero is too good for direct attacks. I've never won this game. The farthest I've gotten is getting him to use his other hand and foot, but I'm stronger now. That was a year ago and I've gotten a whole lot stronger.

"Oh wow!" Gon leaned forward, watching their fight intently. "Killua! Tag me in!" Gon called out, and Killua came over and gave him a high five. Gon ran forward and quickly jumped, Mr. Netero let his guard down, a golden opportunity to swipe the ball. Unfortunately, Gon jumped so high that he hit his head. I watched Gon try his hand at the game. He had some smart tactics, but eventually it was my turn. "K, my turn!" I raised a hand and Gon high-fived it. I entered the playing field.

"I'm excited to see how you've grown, Bella." I smirk. Well I was training, I discovered something about my nen that no one knows, not even Mom. Well my nen does switch depending on the emotions of those around me, the exact nature of the switch wasn't known, but I figured it out. Nen gets stronger the intenser an emotion, so my nen ability takes the form of whoever has the strongest emotion around me. I quite literally copy the nen of the person with the strongest emotion, matching their nen power. This is a helpful ability if it weren't for the fact the Mr. Netero is so calm all the time. No matter how calm I am, Mr. Netero is always calmer, so right now I can only utilize my own strength which is nothing compared to him.

At the beginning of Gon's fight, when Gon caught him off guard, I was able to copy his nen strength for a second, though it was quickly overtaken by Killua's frustration nen. I rush forward, guess I just have to rely on my own nen right now. I coated my leg in nen to sweep Mr. Netero's legs from under him. I've tried this before and Mr. Netero's legs of steel didn't budge, but maybe they will now since I'm stronger. My leg came in contact with his, and nothing happened.

"Oh my. You certainly have gotten stronger. I'm impressed." I stand back up. The past two times where I've gotten him to the other sides of his body happened when I attempted an attack twice. He didn't want me to get hurt so he dodged the second attack, causing him to lose in my eyes. I rushed forward again, feigning to do the same attack with the same amount of nen, but at the last second, I activated zetsu, giving me no protection from my attack. Just as I suspected he jumped to the other leg. Bisky wouldn't let him hear the end of it if I got hurt while playing one of his games.

"I win. I still can't win the real game, but I can do that, and that will be my best attempt for now." Mr. Netero lets out a laugh.

"You did get me. You certainly have gotten stronger, Bella. And you accomplished the task in record time." Mr. Netero pats my head, and I smile under his praise.

"Thank you!" I give out a sleepy yawn. I normally go to bed at 8, and it is currently 10, way past my bedtime. "Good luck you two! I'm going to go to sleep for the night."

"Night Bella!" Gon waved and I gave a small wave back.

"Night, Gon!" I make my way to a room on the airship. Mr. Netero was one of the only people, other than Mom herself, that she would let me be around. This was due to his perpetually calm nature. When I was younger, I couldn't really do anything with my nen other than see it. It ebbed and flowed with the emotions of everything around me. The first time I felt a nen of hatred, it felt as though my body was going to explode. Hatred consumed me, and I was in a perpetual state of ren, which symbolizes that I'm not using my aura. I can now revert the ren to ten relatively quickly, but skilled nen users won't miss the switch. Mr. Netero was the only person I could be around and not be in that state of ren due to his emotions. Because of this, I've gotten really close to him. He is like the grandpa I don't have, and I appreciate everything he has done for me. He was my friend when I couldn't see anyone else.
