"Twins?", Travis asked, tears beginning to build in his hazel-green eyes.
"Yes, twins Trav", Taylor said, almost sobbing at this point.
Travis leaned down and hugged Taylor, kissing her salty cheek.
"That's amazing, Tay. We get to have two babies", Travis said, a huge smile on his face. Taylor squeezed his hand.
"Yes, and since I'm carrying two of your babies at once I expect twice the quantity of ice cream", Taylor joked. She felt a buzz about her, the adrenaline shooting through her veins.
"Anything for you", Travis said, kissing her forehead softly.
"You know, that explains why I'm showing so early. Twins", Taylor thought out loud.
Kristin got a few more angles and printed the images off. They left the clinic that day both ecstatic about the idea of having twins.
"Twins. Wow", Travis said in the car on the way home.
"I know. I'm so excited", Taylor said, a grin on her face.
"I hope they're both little girls that look just like you, beautiful. With your blue eyes and gorgeous blonde hair. Oh, and your adorable nose that scrunches sometimes", Travis said, the excitement of becoming a new father again motivating him.
"Don't cut yourself short. I'm sure a Y chromosome snuck in there somewhere. I don't think they're both boys, but one might be. But I for sure think that at least one is a girl", Taylor said, kissing his hand against her red lips.
"Have you seen the Kelce genes? If they're both girls, then all three of our daughters will go on to have a house full of boys, then their boys will have all girls...", Travis began but was cut off by Travis.
"Let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe wait until they're born until discussing the genders of their future offspring?", Taylor suggested, laughing.
"Sorry, I'm just excited. Gosh, I can't wait. Babies with you is a dream come true", Travis said, pulling into their garage.
Taylor smiled, pulling his face to hers as he turned the car off.
She pressed her lips against his. "We should tell Willow first since she's the big sister", suggested Taylor while they were both still in the car.
Travis nodded. "I think that's a good idea. She should be the first one to know", Travis agreed.
"Well, Brittney is technically the first, but we don't need to count her". Taylor got out of the car, followed by Travis.
"What? You told Brittney?", Travis asked, unlocking the front door.
"No, not exactly. She kinda figured it out on her own and I confirmed her suspicion with a smile".
"It's ok. We should tell Willow today", Travis said, going inside.
Once Donna left, Taylor pulled out the big sister shirt she had been hiding ever since taking the test.
"Willow sweetie?", Taylor said, entering the messy play room.
Willow wore a top apron with a tiara on her head, many of her stuffed animals sitting around her toy table.
"Dis is my princess cafe!", Willow exclaimed, handing Taylor a plastic hamburger bun.
"Oh, delicious", Taylor said, pretending to eat the toy. "Listen, your daddy and I have a surprise for you", Taylor said, sitting down in one of the uncomfortable plastic chairs.
"Yay!", Willow exclaimed, taking Taylor's hand. Taylor slowly got up from the small chair and took Willow to the living room.
"For me?", Willow asked, opening her mouth in adorable shock as she saw a present box with a unicorn on it.
"Yes sweetie. For you", Travis said, Taylor sitting beside him. He wrapped his arm around her, kissing the side of her head.
"Tan I open?", she squealed.
"Wait... go!", Taylor said, pulling out her phone camera to record the moment.
Willow dug into the present, taking out the big sister shirt.
"Clothes", she said disappointingly.
"Look, do you know what it says?", Travis asked, pointing to the white words on the shirt. Willow shook her head of light brown curls.
"It says big sister", Travis said.
Willow gave him a questioning look.
"Do you know what that means?", Taylor asked, pulling the 4 year old onto her lap. Soon enough there wouldn't be enough room for Willow to sit on her lap, so Taylor might as well take advantage of this while she can.
Willow shook her head.
"It means that there's a baby inside mommy's tummy", Taylor told her, letting herself smile just saying it out loud.
"A baby?", Willow asked with a wide eyed expression.
"Yes, your baby brothers or baby sisters or your baby brother and sister are growing inside Mommy right now", Travis told her.
Willow looked even more confused.
Taylor decided to step in. "You know what's fun? Instead of one baby inside a mommy's belly like it usually is, there's two babies. Isn't that fun?", Taylor asked, gently shaking Willow for emphasis.
"Two babies? For me?", Willow shrieked with delight.
"Yes, two babies", Taylor said, a tear slipping down her face.
"Yay!", Willow exclaimed, getting off of Taylor's lap to jump up and down.
In that moment, an immense amount of happiness flooded all three members of the family.
