Travis was shocked. Whatever news he was expecting, this wasn't it. He needed to remain positive for Taylor. "Did you even hook up with him? You guys only dated for like five months, right?", Travis asked, rubbing her back.
Taylor nodded. "Yeah, we hooked up a few times", Taylor answered.
A moment of silence fell over the room.
"I just want you to know that no matter what those results say I'll stay with you. I've never felt this way about anybody before and I don't want us to lose what we have just because of some stupid test results", Travis stated, taking both of her hands into his.
"Oh Travis. You're the best", Taylor sobbed.
"Come here baby. It's OK", Travis comforted, pulling an emotional Taylor into his arms.
"I hope you're right", Taylor mumbled, taking in his scent.
One week later....
A week went by and Taylor's test results were still pending. Taylor had been very disconnected with reality and closed off from everybody.
Taylor was sitting on the couch binge watching Gilmore Girls in her PJs.
"Mommy?", a little voice called. Taylor had been very hormonal and approaching her was no small task. Luckily, Willow hadn't caught Taylor in a bad mood.
"Yes sweetheart?", Taylor replied, licking her spoonful of peanut butter.
"Can I watch the movie with you", Willow asked meekly.
"Of course honey. Hop on up here", Taylor smiled, patting the spot next to her on the couch.
Willow smiled and sat on the couch beside her mom. Taylor wrapped her arm around the 4-year-old, kissing the little girl's forehead.
"Mommy, you smell like peanut butter", Willow giggled.
"That's because your baby siblings are making me crave peanut butter right now", Taylor explained, licking the spoon clean.
"What does crave mean?", Willow asked.
"It means to want something so bad that you feel incomplete without it in a way", Taylor said, trying to explain it in a way that a 4 year old would understand.
"Do you crave my daddy?", Willow asked, sticking her little finger in the jar of peanut butter and licking it.
Taylor sighed. "Unfortunately I used to really badly. I have proof", Taylor mumbled.
"What's your proof?", Willow asked, her hazel green eyes glowing with curiosity.
Taylor needed to change the topic. "Travis!", Taylor yelled.
Travis went down the stairs, the floor creaking due to his tall, muscular figure.
"What's up, hon", Travis asked, standing behind the couch. He massaged Taylor's shoulders with his strong hands.
"You are so loud when you go down the stairs", Taylor sighed, feeling relief on her sore back.
"Is that all you had me come down for?", Travis asked, kissing the back of Taylor's head.
"No, but it just came up with your loud clanking", Taylor began. "Could you get me another can of peanut butter? Oh, and some pickles", Taylor asked.
"Honey, I'll get you some pickles but you have barely touched this can of peanut butter", Travis stated, holding the can up as evidence.
"I know but the top peanut butter is so much better", Taylor pouted, giving Travis the lip.
