The Tangled Hearts: A Forbidden Romance

I stand in the middle of the hallway looking around with a confused look on my face, still unable to find my class.

A wave of frustration washes over me, and I was about to just say fuck it and skip.

"Why aren't you in class?" a voice says in the distance. I look behind me to see where the voice was coming from. I see Vinnie walking towards me with a smirk on his face.
"Are you skipping?" he asks with a face of disapproval, nudging my shoulder.

I roll my eyes and look at him. "I can't seem to find my class." I say frowning at him. He looks at me and laughs playfully while leaning over my shoulder.

I feel goosebumps on the back of my neck as I feel his
presence behind me. "Let me see your schedule." He finally says while trying to reach for the paper.

I hand him the paper as he studies it. "Oh, I know where this is, follow me." he says as I smile and turn around as I began to follow him.

After a few minutes of walking silence, he finally comes to a stop and turns around to me.

"Okay here we are." I give him a smile that says, 'thank you' while he smiles back at me. "Have fun in there. "He walks away leaving me by the door.

  As I walk in everyone looks up at me and stares at me. I look around and don't let it bother me.

"You are late." the lady at the front of the class who I assumed to be the teacher says with a stern look on her face.

"I know I am sorry I got lost, I couldn't find the class." the teacher just looks at me with no response before grabbing a paper.

"what is your name hun?" she smiles slightly at me while everyone else is silent and waiting for a response from me. "Yesenia Talamantez" I say looking at the teacher while everyone looked at each other with a confused face and started to whisper to one another.

"Everyone settle down!" The teacher shouts at the class while sighing deeply before looking back at me. "You are Alejandro's little sister right?" She looks at me while rolling her eyes then looks away with a stern look, gesturing her hand for me to sit down.

I wonder if she had my brother and had problems with him. Why did she roll her eyes? I look down and I walk into the class more and try and find a seat. I looked to see only one more seat available next to this guy who was staring at me with hatred in his eyes.

I raise an eyebrow at him and start to walk towards the seat.  He rolled his eyes and looked away from me. He had black hair that almost covered his eyes, blue eyes, and tattoos all over him that made him look very intimidating. I do not want to mess with that guy. On the left was a girl smiling at me and waves her hand gently for me to sit down next to her. I smile at her and walk over to the seat. I put my stuff next to my feet and sat down in the chair.

"Hi, I'm Madeliene but just call me Maddie." she says smiling with her straight white teeth. I look at her face and study her face. She is pretty, like someone my brother would date.

"I'm Yesenia but you can call me Yesi, that is what everyone calls me because my name is obviously a handful to say.." I giggle and smile back at her softly as she laughs along with me.

"Oh, I know who you are. Like everyone was talking about how Alejandro's sister is going to come here." I give her a stern look while furrowing my eyebrows which makes her look regretful. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to call you out like that." She strains her teeth and gives me a sympathetic look. I give her a small smile "Don't worry about it, I'm used to it trust me." She smiles at me once again as we turn our attention to the teacher who is talking.
