The Tangled Hearts: A Forbidden Romance

I am standing in front of the mirror looking at every curve and crevice of my body.

I am wearing a red cropped tube top and blue jeans.

I apply the last few touches of my lipstick and put me earrings on before heading towards the living room to tell luciano that I am ready. As i walk in he looks up at me and shakes his head. "Oh hell no you are not wearing that go change."

He shakes his head at me and scurnches his nose. "I dont want any perverted punks looking at my little sister." he says almost raising his voice at me.

"I am an adult now you just might have to get used to it." He rolls his eyes at me. "Whatever but you better stay close to me." He says in his serious tone as I chuckle at his response. He was always overprotective but sometimes it could get out of hand.

"Alejandro someday you are going to have to accept the fact that I am not a little girl anymore and I can make my own decisions." I say standing up straight and side glare at him. "whatever." he says before heading towards the door and begins to walk out.

I groan and my head tilts back in frustration as I stormed out the door right after him. He is such a child.

I get inside the car without looking at him and I cross my arms. He doesn't even look at me when he starts to drive.

"This fight is so pathetic Ale." I say quietly while my head turns to him. He side eyes me and rolls his eyes. "What are you talking about there is no fight?" He shrugs and smiles as he looks back at the road. I roll my eyes at look out the window without answering.

Alejandro never likes to talk about his feelings. He always kept them in and pretended like everything was fine after.

I glance at him right as we were pulling up to this big house. I could hear the music from the outside. I notice three big letters on the building. I didn't know what they were.

"Is this a frat house party?" I asked him raising my eyebrows at him. "Sure is. It's called Alpha Delta Gamma." he chuckles and looks at me. I raise an eyebrow at him and cringe. "Um okay."

He walked out of the car and walked to the front and walked in. As soon as we walked in people already started coming up to Ale and talk with him. I felt very out of place.

I pull out my phone and call Maddie. "Hey girl where are you?" Maddie says as soon as she answers the phone. "Oh I'm at the front
with my brother but there is a lot of people I can barely even see." I say laughing sarcastically into the phone. "Don't worry I see you I'm going over there." She says while hanging up the phone.

I put my phone in my back pocket and see her walking in front of me. "Omg Yesenia you look so good." She shouts and squeals. I smile at her, "Thank you Maddie. You look great too." I smile at her and clap my hands really fast. She was wearing a hot pink tight dress, it looked very flattering on her my . She grabbed my arm and linked it with hers and walks towards a bar.

"Hello ladies what can I get ya?" A boy that looked about my age and was shirtless with the frat initials were painted on his chest. I raise my eyebrows at him and Maddie laughs. "Oh I don't drink so." I say to him while shrugging. "Oh well. At least you are pretty." He says smirking at me which makes my cheeks grow red. "Um okay! I will have a shot of vodka please." Maddie says looking at him with pleading eyes. His eyes shot to hers "Coming right up!" He says while banging the table with his hand and begins to pour the shot for her.

I turn around and look around the house with my elbows on the bar behind me. My eyes fall on someone sitting on the couch. Eyes burning into my back. It was Luciano. Ofcourse he went to parties so I shouldn't be surprised to see him here.

He doesn't break eye contact when I catch him. I look away from him feeling embarrassed my cheeks turning red.

I look at Maddie and she is still flirting with the guy at the bar. I sigh and just sit in silence listening to their conversation.

A few minutes pass of them talking when I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I whip my head around to see Vinnie smiling at me. "Oh hey." I say smiling softly at him. He sits in the stool next to me and faces me. "Hey Yesenia how's it going?" He says sincerely looking down at me. "It's going. I don't know why I decided to comes." I laugh sarcastically and he smiles softly at me, pulling a tug at my heart. "Well I'm glad you came." He says softly while he puts his hand on my shoulder. My arm hair rises once his hand touches my shoulder.

I smile at him and look at his eyes. "Thank you Vinnie." he shines his shiny teeth at me. Wow, his teeth are perfect. I can't find one flaw on him.

Is this wrong? Is it wrong for me to feel attracted to my brothers best friend?

He keep eye contact for what feels like forever. It was only 20 seconds. As I notice that we are staring at each other, I blink back at look away. I clear my throat. "Um I need to use the restroom real fast." I say to Vinnie as he nods at me and smiles.

Maddie shows me to the bathroom and we stop at the door. She is already drunk. "Okay Yesenia I am going to go outside just meet me there!" She chirps and walks away with pep in her step.

I walk in the bathroom but as I close the door a hand holds it letting themselves in.

My eyes widen at the sudden movement.

"What do you want now?"
