Chapter 6 - New Metropolis Hellscape

(The song might seem out of place, but if you've seen Back to the Future 2, then you'll know why this fits.)

The city is still the same way as Metal Sonic had transformed it earlier. Although now that Charlie was inside it, the true scope of how large the buildings have grown was put into perspective. The floating highways weave in between the skyscrapers high above her, with the roads on the ground being made of much darker and dangerous metal. The song 'I Can't Drive 55' was blaring loudly, as if Metal Sonic knew exactly what emotions he wanted the demons of hell to have. She was kind of surprised just how much he had changed things around here. Things definitely looked very different than before... And... Not always for the better either. The song playing made the atmosphere even more unsettling, as she kept on making her way through the city now. Ironically, it's not really much worse than hell already was before, but she still viewed the changes as strange and negative.

Charlie : "Fuck, this place sure is bright... Yet somehow, also dark..."

Charlie would see the Heavy Gunners flying over the entire city. However, Instead of them being attacking anyone or fighting anyone, they actually seemed to just be acting as the citizens of the city. Some of them would be walking around the city, while others would be flying over it. They all seemed very calm and relaxed actually. They really didn't seem like a threat at all here. Charlie would also see as the demon residents of the city were forced out of their homes by the new Heavy Gunners that had come and taken over the city. A lot of them were very upset over this situation, but there seemed to be absolutely nothing that they could do about it at this point. After a while of walking through the city, Charlie finally arrives at the massive skyscraper in the center, of which Metal Sonic is located at the top. 

The skyscraper was very tall, Probably stretching out into the sky for many, Many miles. It was  the tallest structure in all of the whole city, and probably not just this city either. The whole thing just screamed "Bad future" through its design. The structure was a dark Sienna color, and it almost looked like it was giving off some sinister aura to it. The whole thing looked like some sort of evil tower, which was fitting for who its owner was. The stormy crimson sky above the building was also very sinister looking, With the dark red stormy clouds that looked to be ready to open and drop acid rain down to the buildings below. Lightning would often strike randomly across the whole city, The flashes illuminated the city for only a brief passing moment before being swept away by the shadows of the storm. It definitely set an atmosphere, The whole city felt very evil and grim.
