As Bondita moved out of the room, Anirudh couldn't help but to dwell in her thoughts her question which maybe have only one perspective but as a Barrister he knew that every negative and positive points should be considered. But he knew the answers. But the thing which was bothering him was her joke she made for her liking to some boys of her alma Mater from Tulsipur. Does' Bondita have some feelings for someone and didn't tell him. Was it possible that, that she likes someone or maybe she doesn't know about her liking that can be a reason she not told him. He can't ingnore how she has left to talk to Sujoy he knew it can be just a friendly gesture too but he wasn't familiar with her having more friends as he was her only friend 'Best Friend' to be specific other than few girls whom she talked in Tulsipur or maybe sone or two from Dalhousie and over that she hadn't specifically told him about that boy Sujoy in the letters too. But it can be only cleared by Bondita, and for that he has to ask her. He was in thought when with a light knock on the door she entered with a plate of food and a jug of water in her hands. And placing the thing on the table again moved out of the study. He thought maybe to get glasses as there were none in study. And after few minutes she returned again with a subtle knock another plate of food in her one hand and two glasses in other. Placing everything she said," Barrister Babu aaj bahot der ho gayi dinner mein, par ek advice dungi free mein, Khaana humesha agar possible ho toh full family ke saath hi khaana chahiye yun akele akele kamron mein ghuskar nahi." at last she gave a teasing smile.
" Par Bondita, main akela kaha hu tum ho na mere saath." Anirudh replied cheekily.
"' Mere hone se kya hota hai, main full FAMILY ki baath kar rahi huaur ab aap baatein kam kariye mujhe bhook lagi hai." She said and started pouring water in the glasses.
" Acha, main baatein kar raha hu, theek hai ab bina khaana khatam kiye main kuch nahi karunga theek hai ab jaldi se khaao." and started having his dinner.
After complete when Bondita was taking the plates he stopped her, " Bondita tum rakh do Bihari le jaayega baad mein." " Aur Bhari baabu ka kaam badhau, Main le jaaungi mujhe koi samayaa nahi vaise bhi mere kamre ke bagal mein hi rasoighar hai aur paas mein hi bartan done ka sthan." Bonditqa said dismissing his offer,
" Acha theek hai, par kya tum meri kuch baat sunne ke baad apna ye madadkari Bondita wala roop dikha sakti ho." He asked her annoyed as she wasn't listening to him." Boliye main hu yahi baithi aap jo kahna chahte hai kahiye."
" Bondita tumne kuch samay pahle jo prashna kiye main unse hi shuru karunga, toh Bondita mujhe nahi lagta ki aisa kuch bhi uske man mein tha aur vo clear karne ki baat jo usne uski shaadi ko lekar kahi thi vo shayad isliye kyunki main kayi baar uske sacche karantikaari hone par sawaal utha chuka tha aur vo ye bhi nahi chahti thi ki uske karntikaari hone ka sach uske parivaar ko pata chale." " Main nahi jaanta maine vo prashna kyun kiya kyunki main kayi baar dusron ki zindagi se jude prashna kar leta hu jinse mujhe koi vaasta bhi nahi hota. Ho sakta hai mine ye kuch stupid feelings ke chalte pucha ho ya fir as a confirmation kyunki vo humesha kahti thi vo kitni dedicated hai humare desh ke liye, I don't know maybe she considered me her friend or as a known person, but I don't think so she planned something and liked me as a Man not as a person." Anirudh completed his view while taking a glance of her face only to see a wide smile playing on her lips.
" Barrister Babu I'm so proud of you, aapko pata hai kayi baar aise situations mein log dusre person ko kahi na kahi blame karne lagte hai, main jaanti thi ki aap aisa kabhi nahi karenge, par main bas ye chahti thi agar koi aisa pov bhi dikhaye toh bhi aapko jo sahi lage aap vahi chunenge, aur aapne mujhe sahi saabit kiya. Ab aap is baat ko lekar kabhi dubara guilty na ho bas yahi chahti hu, ise yahi kahtam kar dijiye be new phase new optimisim ke saath start kariye apni bhool ko roj kosne se acha hai aap usse seekh ke. Aur aapse bhool hui thi an unintentional mistake toh aap doshi to nahi hue." Bondita said with a calm smiley face.
" Acha to Barrister Bondita test le rahi thi mera, aur agar main fail ho jaata toh." Anirudh asked her amused with her.
" nahi hote agar aapka jwaab galt bhi hota toh main samjhaati aapko, aakhir ab apne kamjor shisy ko aise hi toh nahi chod sakti na aapki guru." She said teasing him again.
" HA bilkul, acha Bondita main tumse kuch aur bhi puchna chahta tha, agar tumhe aapatti na ho toh." Anirudh asked her hoping for a yes.
"Ha puchiye na." As soon as she said yes he didn't wasted a single second before voicing out the questing which was disturbing him unknowingly." Bondita kya tum kisise , mera matlab hai kisi kio pasand karti ho ya pyaar." After the question he was was seeking glances of her asshe sat there there without expressions for a while before bursting into a laughter.
" Are Barrister babu, aap aaj ke dusre insaan hai jisne mujhse ye prashna kiya pata hai, abhi thodi der pahle pata hai mujhse yahi mazak Sujoy dada bhi kar rahe the, Aur aapka jawab ye hai ki jaisa maine aapko pahle hi bata rakha hai nahi meri zindagi mein koi aisa nahi hai." She said controlling her laughs. And he released a breath he never knew he was holding all this time. And a large smile came on his lips without his knowledge after hearing her answer which gave a double satisfaction.
First she didn't have someone else in her life in that context also she considered Sujoy as her 'DADA' i.e., Brother. Oh! he cant expresses his happiness but why was he happy . maybe because she was innocent and what if she likes someone with not so good intention and thoghts, And he was always worried for her. Yes that's the reason her betterment is his responsibility she is his special responsibilty. His reason of life, His little Bondita.
" Acha Bondita Sujoy ko tum Dada maanti ho kabhi bataya nahi,"Anirudh asked her.
" Are aisa nahi hai aap toh unse mil chuke hai jab aap london aaye the unhone hi toh aapko aur mujhe apni gaadi mein London ghumaya tha, Bhool gaye aap Barrister babu." She asked him frowning.
" HA yaad hai par tumne kabhi theek se nahi bataya ki kaise mili tum." He asked again.
" Darsal jab kuch hi mahine hue the mujhe London gaye hue toh ek baar main kuch samaan lene apni friend emily ke saath bahar gayi thi, aur vaha par kyunki mujhe jyaada anubhav nahi tha isliye ek motorgaadi se takraate hue bach gayi par achanak peeche se dusri gaadi aa rahi thi aur main kuch samjh nahi paa rahi thi tabhi vaha sujoy dada aaye unhone apni gaadi us motorgaadi aur mere beech rok di tabhi mujhe unke baare mein pata chala aur fir ek baar debate room mein maine unhe dekha toh unse milne gayi aur pata chala ki vo bhi meri hi batch mein hai, aur aapko pata hai jab rakshabandhan aaya toh maine unhe raakhi baandhi kyunki unhone raksha ki thi meri aur tabhise main unhe dada bhi kahne lagi par unhone kaha ki unhe daada ki aadat nahi aur vo mujhse kuch mahine hi toh bade hai isliye main unhe brother ya fir sir unke naam se bulaun aur mujhe brother ki aadat nahi isliye main unhe jyaada tar sirf Sujoy hi bulaati hu. Aur main jaanti hu ki aap gussa ho usse pahle vo meri pahli aur shayad aakhiri galti thi London streets pe. Main sabko ghar par pareshaan nahi karna chahti thi isliye nahi bataya aur min surakshit bhi hu. Aapko toh pata hai kak bas yahi kahte BOndita tum bas vapas aa jaao ab aur nahi rahegi vaha humari ba.. beti."
She explained praying to Dugga maa he doesn't get angry.
" Main maaf karna toh nahi chahta, par agar tum vaada karo aisi koi bhi baat tum kabhi nhi chupaaogi.' He said asking her for a promise. Knowing very well that his Kaka would have said the same, so he had to forgive her and now he was feeling sorry for doubting Sujoy he was her brother who once saved her from accident. He should be thankful of him.
Taking her leave after wishing him a good night and taking the plates along with her she moved out of the study. the night was indeed a calm one.
