"YOU NEVER TOLD me that my father was a babbling, bumbling baboon. A little bit of a heads up would've been nice."

Jude gave out a frustrated huff as she crossed her arms and leaned against the walls of the elevator. Her mother smirked, watching the doors close and leaving the two females alone together.

"You never asked." She said, rolling the sleeve of her jacket.

"The implication would have softened the blow."

Scout's eyebrow quipped up, "You're frustrated."

"Am I that obvious?"

"You only use big words when you don't want me knowing how you feel. But you forget that he talks the same way as you do."

The mother shrugged, "I don't even know where you get your alliterations from. I mean, really? Babbling, bumbling baboon? I'll give you points for creativity but it's too much of a tongue twister."

"Says the woman who was on FBI's Most Wanted." Jude teased.

"Emphasis on the was, Crash."

The elevator door dinged, popping open and revealing the 6th floor and the glass paneling of the BAU. Scout raised her chin, trying to appear taller than she was but failing miserably. Her daughter snickered at the sight but said nothing. She knew the entire situation was harder for her than she lead on.

As the pair walked through the office space, people stopped whatever they were doing to stare and give side glances. Scout ignored them all as she continued on but Jude, in her unbreakable confidence, made sure to glare back at them.

Towards the upper level where the BAU held a small balcony that led to further private offices, a grouping of younger children whispered amongst themselves. Jude recognized them, smirking as she saw a noticeable bruise on one of the boy's face.

They were four in total.

Henry, the eldest of the Jareau brothers, and Mikey, the youngest, were the only names she knew. The other two, a tall lanky boy with black hair and soft curls with a younger dark skinned girl with ponytails, eyed her with curiosity.

"Looks like you make friends fast," Scout leaned down and whispered, joking about the brothers.

"I took after you, don't I?"
