"SO WHAT DO you think? Will said that he can look after the kids tonight and take them trick or treating. It's been a while since you've been to O'Keefe's."

Scout hesitated as she leaned against the wall, picking the dirt from underneath her fingernails. She watched as the blonde agent sort through some files before picking out the ones she needed.

"I don't know, JJ. You know Jude doesn't like it when I'm not around. And besides, Raph is leaving for Argentina this week. We barely have any time for just the three of us to relax."

The woman slumped, "But it's Halloween. We always go out drinking."

"Yeah? Since when?" Scout raised a brow, a smirk playing at her lips.

"Since now. Henry and Mikey are at my wits end and if I don't get a margarita in me soon, I just might lose it. And from what I can tell, you look like you're about to too."

The brunette shifted, unsure if she wanted to share with JJ the most recent events that have been unfolding due to her ex. It would be comforting to share and get it off her chest. But, it could also do more damage than good.

Scout shrugged her shoulders, "You can't blame me. I forgot how much this job can take a toll on you. I would much rather be rolling out dough and selling bread than tracking down psychos and murders."

"I'm with you there," JJ balanced her stack of folders in one arm, "I have to go and drop these off at storage. Want to come with?"

"I would, but I really don't want to. So, I think I'll just go and do some work."

The blonde scoffed, "Playing Solitaire does not count as work."

"Yeah," Scout chuckled as she pushed the elevator button, "But it looks like it and that's good enough for me."

She smiled at the teasing nature between, slowly starting to feel the tension from the past break away, but it faded quickly when the elevator dinged and the doors opened. Not sure if she should enter or leave, Scout froze in place.

'Speak of the devil,' she thought to herself.

"I'll - I'll just take the stairs then,"

"Scout, wait." Spencer pressed his arm against the door so that it wouldn't shut, "I don't mind."

"And what if I do?" The brunette looked around, noticing that a few people were watching them.
