(hey guys! I completely forgot to mention that i put my OC in here. This was an old story, and i forgot to proofread it. Please just ignore her T-T)

Bruce stretched and yawned. He had finally finished his paperwork and had filed all of his detective work away. Dick was already snoozing beside him, Jessica's head resting on his shoulder. Bruce couldn't help but smile at the two.

"Master Bruce." Alfred walked up to him. "Have you finally finished your work?"

"Yes, Alfred." Bruce stood up.

Alfred gave him a small mischievous smile. "Shall I call Master Clark over?"

"No, not today." Bruce gently shook Dick and Jessica awake. "He needs his sleep, and so do I."

Jessica groaned and rubbed her eyes. "What time is it?"

"2:45, Miss. Blackwell." Alfred replied. "I would suggest you go to bed so you're rested for the gala tomorrow."

She smiled and grabbed Dicks hand, leading to their shared bedroom. Bruce shook his head. "I remember when they were young, chasing after each other and not knowing where to go from there. I thought there was no hope for them."

Alfred smiled. "I would say the same for you and Master Clark."

Bruce ignored that and walked up the stairs to his bedroom. He still didn't know how they made it work. Bruce always thought he was too dark and foreboding for someone as bubbly and kind as Clark to love. He had always thought the hookups were pure lust and at the end of the day it didn't mean anything.

It was Clark's fault, really, for their relationship. He went off and got married to Lois Lane, which made Bruce realize how much he loved the caped crusader. It turned out that Clark loved Bruce too. After that, Lois and Clark got divorced (but not before Lois got pregnant, but that's another rabbit hole) and Bruce and Clark got together.

When Bruce made it to his bedroom, he felt that something was off. He looked around, trying to see if something was missing. He looked towards his window and saw that it had been left open. "Goddamn it, Clark." he muttered. He must have left it open when he left in the morning.

He walked to the window to close it, but suddenly, Clark popped up from below the window. "What the hell, Clark?" Bruce yelled. "What are you-"

Bruce let out a yell as Clark swept him up in his arms. "CLARK!" Bruce yelled, instinctively wrapping his arms around his neck. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?"

"Taking you home!" Clark yelled over the sound of rushing air.

"I WAS HOME!" Bruce growled.

"My home, goofball."

"Do you have ANY idea what time it is-"

"Shhhhh! I don't want any pedestrians to hear us." Clark scolded.

Bruce stopped for a second, but made the mistake of seeing what Clark was wearing. "AND YOU'RE OUT HERE IN YOUR PAJAMAS? What if someone sees you?"

"Not so loud! I'm right next to you."

"Kent, put me down right this instant or I swear-"

This time, Bruce was cut off by Clark's lips pressed against his. "For once in your life, let me do something romantic for you without you freaking out." Clark teased. Bruce looked around and saw that they were already in Clark's apartment in Metropolis.

"How did you even know where I was?" Bruce muttered, shoving on Clark so he could be put down. He straightened his hair, looking rather ruffled.

"Alfred called me. Said that you needed a break." Clark moved to the closet and pulled out a pair of Bruce's pajamas (they each had a couple pairs of clothes at each other's houses, just in case.) "Tomorrow, no crime fighting for you." he tossed the clothes into Bruce's arms.

"What?" Bruce snarled. "What do you mean?"

"I mean," Clark floated over and took one of Bruce's hands in his. "You're taking a well needed break. Jessica and Dick can handle all of the calls for tomorrow, AND" Clark put a finger to Bruce's lips. "Damian and Barbra are going to be there too. So there are FOUR people taking over your job, each of them trained by you. They'll be fine."

Bruce snorted, taking off his clothes and putting his pajamas on. "And what about you? I assume that you won't be doing anything either."

Clark smiled. "I have Connor and Kara. And Krypto."

"A dog doesn't count."

"Whatever." Clark swooped Bruce into his arms, placing a kiss on his lips. "It's just gonna be you and me tomorrow, and nothing is going to change my mind."

Bruce smirked. "What if there's an alien invasion?"

"Who cares?"

"Be realistic, Clark."

Clark rolled his eyes. "Just enjoy the moment, Brucie."

Bruce smiled and kissed the Kryptonian again. Maybe he could spare one day.
