Bruce didn't think it was possible for the Man of Steel to get sick. It was possible some illness he had picked up on some other planet, or maybe his immune system was down. But whatever the reason, it ended in Bruce sitting lengthwise on the couch and Clark laying on top of him.

Clark was wrapped up in some sort of blanket burrito and was VERY hot. Bruce was reading a book and transitioning from running his hands through Clark's hair and flipping pages of his book. This amount of affection from Bruce was rare, but Clark was suffering a lot. Bruce could feel his breaths rattling.

"Bruce?" Clark whispered, his voice cracking.

"Yeah?" Bruce put his book down and brushed some curls away from his forehead. He was sweating pretty badly.

"Where's Jon?"

Bruce chuckled. Just like Clark to be concerned for his son when he has a 102 fever. "Jonathan is fine." he reassured. "I think he and Damian are doing something."

"Kay." Clark murmured. He was asleep again not even 20 seconds later. Bruce chuckled and continued to stroke his lover's hair.

Damian walked into the living room, Jonathan not far behind him. ""Hello Father." Damian said, still keeping up with formalities. "Mother called ten minutes ago, still wants to ask about marriage."

Bruce nodded. "Same old, same old." Jonathan was staring at Bruce with a confused expression. Bruce understood, he was barely affectionate with Clark when people were around. This was probably very weird because not only was Clark cuddled on Bruce's lap, but he was also running his hand through Clark's hair.

"Anyway," Damian turned to the bookshelf. "Jon doesn't believe some of the stories I've been telling him about the League of Assassins, so I have to prove him wrong."

"There is no way your grandfather turned someone inside out. That's not even possible."

"Do you even know what gutting means?"

"NO! But it sounds awful."

The next ten minutes consisted of Damian explaining every bad way to die and Jon gagging and yelling at Damian. Bruce couldn;t help but smile at their antics. Eventually, Jon got up and grabbed a random book and sat somewhere else. Damian continued to read that horrible book. Bruce went back to focusing on Clark. His temperature was still bad, but his breathing had become more steady.

"Are you going to get married?"

Bruce looked up at Jon, shocked. "What?"

"Are you going to get married?" Jon asked again.

"Well, maybe. I'm not sure."

Jon looked down, thinking. "Do you want to get married?"

Bruce looked down at Clark again. "Yes, I know I want to. But Clark was already married to your mother, so I want him to take his time."

"If he asked you today, would you say yes?"

"What's with all the questions?"

Jon shrugged. "I dunno. You guys have been dating for a while."

Bruce nodded towards Damian. "And you Damian? What do you think?"

Damian looked up from his book. "I don't care who you marry, as long as they make you happy and are a good person." He looked back down at his book. "I know I was disapproving at first, but that was because Grandfather didn't speak very highly of Clark and that was all I knew of Superman."

Bruce smiled. He was glad that they approved, and that they were getting along a lot better now. They used to fight every minute, now it was only every hour.

"I get to be the ringbearer."

"NO WAY!"
