At the local underground sex club, I've just spotted Marjorie's banker brother, Steve.

"He could ruin us. What should we do?" Bang Chan says.

"He might be a fellow kinkster."

"You're right. We shouldn't judge him just because of his sister's actions."

From the shadows, we observe him for a while longer, until he suddenly catches sight of us both. Panic washes over him as he quickly rushes over to us.

      "Well, well..."

      "Steve are you a spy?"

      "A spy? No. Are you?"

"You'll forgive me if we aren't thrilled to see you." Bang Chan informs him.

"I was going to say something similar. Please, you cannot tell Marjorie I'm here."

"So you know all about how she's been messing with us?"

      "I've heard. I apologize. I swear I don't agree with her."

"Honestly, I feel for you, Steve, I do. I won't tell her." Bang Chan tells Steve.

      "And you, (Y/N)?"

"I'll keep your secret. I'd never out someone like that. You're a different person than your sister. Frankly, it's a relief."

Steve's shoulders go slack, as though a massive weight has been lifted.

"I will do anything I can to make it up to you."

"I mean, keeping our secrets is probably a solid agreement." Bang Chan says.

"How long have you been attending here?" I ask Steve.

"A while. It's the only place for miles that people interested in kink can express themselves safely."

"Safety and privacy seem to be scarce in Blue Haven." Bang Chan points out.

"With my sister on the loose? Yes."

"Well, you don't have to worry about her, Steve. I promise."

"My sister truly has treated you terribly. I've heard about the vote at city council."

"It's not just the vote. She has a picture of Bang Chan and me. A compromising picture."

"I knew she was unreasonable, but I never thought she'd go that far."

"She plans to show it to everyone during the council meeting. She hopes it will turn people against us." Bang Chan informs Steve.

"Steve...we need your help." I beg.

"You have it. I'm afraid of my sister, but I'll do whatever I can."

"It's good to have an ally, Steve."

After we say goodbye to Steve, Bang Chan pulls me close.

"Well, this isn't how I expected the night to go."

      "I don't think that's a bad thing."

Bang Chan leans over, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

"That's what I like about you. You never let anything get you down for long. So, you really think we can trust Steve, then?"

"I think he doesn't have another option."
