"Look out, Marjorie. We're coming."

Bang Chan takes me back to my place so I can change for the council meeting.

Okay, this is it. I have to look my best in front of the council.

I rummage through my clothes and find the perfect dress to wear.

Together, Bang Chan and I stand outside the council, dressed and ready to go

"Can we skip the meeting and get to the celebration sex? I want to tear that off you."

"I think the meeting has to happen before the celebration. Otherwise, what are we celebrating?"

"How hot that dress looks on you."

I glance over at Bang Chan, taking in his appearance, too. I adjust Bang Chan's slightly crooked tie, pulling it taught.

"Suddenly, You've given me a wonderful idea for later. We're going to be late if we take much longer."

"Through those doors is either the end of my life or the beginning."

"We've got this. Let's just enter strong and show them no one can mess with us."

I steel myself and ascend the stairs of the council building. Bang Chan follows behind me as I pull open both doors, walking with purpose.

Perfect, that got everyone's attention. They're all looking at me now.

The rhythm of my heels on the floor gives me even more confidence as everyone stares my way.

"We look quite the power couple."

      "And we are..."

With that, I look straight ahead and make eye contact with both Marjorie and the Mayor. I stare them down all the way until I reach the front.

"Damn. If looks could kill right now, yours would."

"There you are! Time to get this show on the road." Janet comes up to me.

I sit up front, next to both Janet and Bang Chan. Bang Chan chooses to sit with me instead of going to his seat on the council.

"Mr. Bang, is there a reason you're not in your regular council seat?" the mayor asks irritatedly.

"There is. I'm tied very tightly to this case."

"Director (YLN), you have a lot to answer to. There have been some grave accusations made against you."

"That's the reason we're all gathered here."

"The entire town is here, and you still insist on this improper behavior. Bang Chan belongs with the council up front!"
