CHAPTER 6: After Years

It's been two years since the disband, everyone was busy with their own life, they were successful and were living a wealthy life. Maanvir and Saina grew more in love with each other. Himanshu and Adhiraj were still good friends in fact they were leading the life of their dreams. They were known as International Paranormal investigators; they shot in many shows and were a part of huge paranormal society. Ahaan was always focused during his work but as time passed, he became more outgoing and jollier in nature. Maanvir and Ahaan eventually became good friends as they worked at the same company. Alishka made efforts to overcome her trauma, but isolation from her family and friends caused her to become introverted and distant.

"Please, please let me go. What did I do to you?" pleaded a girl.

"The one who falls into MY TRAP never survives! HAHAHAHA!" said a devil woman, laughing evilly.

"Then WHY DON'T YOU KILL ME!! WHY HAVE YOU IMPRISONED ME HERE IN THESE SHACKLES??"

"BECAUSE IF I KILL YOU AND YOUR SISTER, I WILL BE FREE, AND THEN... HAHAHAHA, THIS WITCH WILL RULE THE WORLD! CALL ALEENA, BRING ALISHKA HERE NOWWW!"

"NOOO! YOU WON'T DO ANYTHING TO HER, I'D RATHER DIE MYSELF BUT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY FAMILY... AAAAHHH NO, LET ME GO AAAAAAAHHHHH."

The devil Erupted in fury and began thrashing with a lash. In a voice seething in anger, she said.

"CALL HER, CALL HER, OTHERWISE YOU'LL KEEP SUFFERING!"

In a tearful tone, she begged her stop.

"NO LET ME GOO"

"Call her, call herrrrr!!!"

"ALISHKAAAAAAAA!!!! ALISHKAAAAA!!"

Here Alishka was fast asleep exhausted from the events of the day. When Aleena {her sister's} voice caught her attention. She began experiencing same nightmare that used to haunt her every day. She started shaking and struggled to rise, but her efforts were in vain. After numerous efforts, she finally woke up from that terrible nightmare. She rose, grasping for breath, her entire body drenched in sweat and tears streaming from her eyes. She got out of bed and headed to the kitchen for some water to cool down. Suddenly a notification popped up on her phone, she checked it, to her surprise, it was pdf about vacation planning and related information. As she was reading, she received a call from her friend, and she felt a bit strange.

Himanshu: Hello Alishka? I hope I didn't disturb u.

Alishka: {rubbing her eyes} No, no you didn't. but is everything ok? I mean calling so late.

Himanshu: yes, did you open the pdf?

Alishka: {raising her brow} Yeah... but a free vacation? I mean, I hope you're not caught up in some scam?

Himanshu: Oh no, not at all! Actually, I was booking a ticket for my cousin on liveyourtrip.com, and then this offer popped up. You know it's a trusted site, right? So, yeah, I thought why not give it a try, and fortunately, we won a free voucher.

Alishka: Intelligent and lucky. Proud of you bhai!

Himanshu: Thanks, I'll inform everyone about it. Until then, you take care of the leaves. Me and Adi are coming to India tomorrow itself.

Alishka: Okay, wait! Are all six of us involved in this?

Himanshu: Yeah, I mean I've included everyone {teasing tone}, it's just that Ahaan might refuse, you know?

Alishka: Why would he refuse? And if he does, let him know, I'm coming too...

Adhiraj: {interrupting} Yeah, then he'll come running on one leg!

Alishka: {irritated} Yeah, that's what was missing, you!

Adhiraj: Hi Alisha! How are you? You never call Haan?

Alishka: hello! I am fine. Sorry busy life. I will meet you guys soon till bye and goodnight.

Saying that she hung up the phone, she glanced at the clock and realized it was morning already. She yawned, then opened her laptop to draft a two week leave application.

Meanwhile Adi and Himanshu informed and explained everything to everyone and prepared for the trip.

Everyone was happy and excited to meet each other a long time. Saina Called Aliksha and they talked about the trip, clothes, event. Himanshu explained everything to everyone about the place, hotel sites and activities they were going to do there.

Alishka came back to Mumbai four days early to visit her parents and relax before the trip.

Everyone made their preparation for the trip, and there was palpable excitement as they looked forward to reuniting after such a long time.
