I woke up by lights flickering through the window. Grayson was still asleep, so I lightly shook his shoulder to wake him up
"Look out" I said quietly
"Wow, That's one of a hell view" he responded.
"Yeah It's beautiful"
"Like you" he said
I turned my sight towards him, His hair was a bit roughed up yet it was kinda charming to me, and his voice was still cracked from sleeping, but just a little. And his eyes were still as open as they always are, blue with a hint of purple towards the center.
It was day right now, so I could almost see the city in detail, the buildings, Christ the Redeemer. It was beautiful, the entire view was, as well as the smaller islands and the beach going all the way along the coast or the boats lying in the still water. I can only imagine what it's like walking those crowded streets.
Grayson still held his arm around me and we were both staring out the window while the plane slowly went towards the ground for landing. It was that same uncomfortable feeling, like the plane just let go of control and fell down. But whit him next to me was the only thing that kept me in check right now. The plane Tilted left to turn and then I could see the city even better, before I just had like an overview of It all, but now I could see it from above, so I saw the crowded streets, the trees, markets, buildings, everything. I checked my Phone for the time and It was just past five, apparently we'd slept through the day, mostly because we were up all night. It's kind of hard to fall asleep when you have all those thoughts in your head. Where you're going, why you're doing this, what happens next?
But all those thoughts went away when the wheels of the airplane hit the ground and I finally felt safe, it didn't feel frightening any longer, I could just lean back.
